When things go wrong, one of our first responses is, ‘Where is God?’ How could God allow bad things to happen to us? How could He sit by and watch while we suffer? Does God even care? All of these questions have crossed each and every one of our minds at least once in our lives. It’s our human nature. We struggle understanding ways that are higher than our ways, which leads us to feel alone and abandoned. But is that true? Has God abandoned us? Join Reverend Kenny Yates as he opens our eyes to the Truth in his heart-felt message, LORD Where Are You?
LORD Where Are You?
Has God Abandoned Us?
15 If you love me, you will keep my commandments. 16 And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, 17 even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him. You know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. 18 I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. 19 Yet a little while and the world will see me no more, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live. 20 In that day you will know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you.
John 14:15-20
Where is the LORD God?
16 Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you?
1 Corinthians 3:16
15 What accord has Christ with Belial? Or what portion does a believer share with an unbeliever? 16 What agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; as God said, “I will make my dwelling among them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 17 Therefore go out from their midst, and be separate from them, says the Lord, and touch no unclean thing; then I will welcome you, 18 and I will be a father to you, and you shall be sons and daughters to me, says the Lord Almighty.”
2 Corinthians 6:15-18
Does God Care?
29 Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. 30 But even the hairs of your head are all numbered. 31 Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.
Matthew 10:29-31
5 Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for He has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” 6 So we can confidently say, “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me?”
Hebrews 13:5-6
