Seek Him and Wait

25 The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him.” ~ Lamentations 3:25

Sometimes we look to the LORD for a short while, and when nothing happens when we want them to or expect them to, we get upset. We give up. And we turn away. We expect God to do things immediately the very first time we speak to Him or ask something of Him. We treat God like a genie in a bottle meant to give us our wishes as we ask them. But God is so much more, and He desires so much more. He wants you to seek Him, not for what He can give you, but for Him.

He desires a relationship with you. From the garden, He desired a relationship with us. He would come down from His throne and walk and talk with Adam and Eve. He doesn’t come on our time, but He comes when the timing is perfect. If we would only wait for Him and seek a relationship with Him diligently, we would see things begin to happen. We would see doors opened that were once closed. Miracles take place. Prayers answered. When we seek God first, He will then give us the desires of our hearts.

Peace. Love. Go Forth and Wait For Him.

Trust In God

Why do you boast of your valleys,O faithless daughter, who trusted in her treasures, saying, ‘Who will come against me?’” ~ Jeremiah 49:4

Often times, when our Earthly possessions multiply, so does our pride. We become haughty and filled with arrogance. We no longer put our trust in God, but in our new idol, material possessions. What we own doesn’t make us stronger, more of a man or woman, smarter or wiser.

Having possessions aren’t the problem; it’s when we no longer lean on God but lean on our possessions instead. At the end of the day, they can’t save you, they can’t hear you, they can’t see you. They may be able to protect you for a short time, but the inevitable downfall is coming, and nothing you own can save from it. Pride leads you down the path of destruction.

Peace. Love. Go Forth and Trust in God.

Fear Silences You

And you, son of man, be not afraid of them, nor be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns are with you and you sit on scorpions. Be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, for they are a rebellious house. And you shall speak my words to them, whether they hear or refuse to hear, for they are a rebellious house.” ~ Ezekiel 2:6-7

Fear will try to shut you up. It will try to silence you and keep you from sharing the good news, but God says, don’t be afraid. Not of the people. Not of their words or their appearance, go preach. Go tell them the Truth. Go tell them the Good News of Jesus, for they are a rebellious people. In other words, they’re currently on the road to Hell; go tell them what I have to say so that they may change their ways and repent. Even if they don’t listen, it doesn’t matter; allow them to turn from living in sin.

Even if we will never listen, God still gives us the opportunity. God still sends us a warning. God still cares. So, don’t be discouraged, and don’t be afraid because where God sends you, He will go with you. Whatever He has you do, He will help you. God won’t abandon you. You won’t have to preach alone. You won’t have to witness alone. Put your faith and trust into God, seek Him, and you will never have to fear. Because when you seek God, He reveals Himself and His nature to you. You build a strong relationship with Him, and fear can no longer intimidate you because you truly know and understand who God is: your Father, Brother, Protector, Guide in The Darkness, your Everything.

Peace. Love. Go Forth and Silence Fear.

The Battlefield of The Mind

“And David took these words to heart and was much afraid of Achish, the king of Gath.” ~ 1 Samuel 21:12

Hearing some words spoken can bring fear into our hearts even though we know we have a promise from God. Fear will take your joy and promise. They will cause distress within your spirit, stealing your peace, sleep, comfort, etc. When we allow fear to have a foothold in our minds, it can overcome us completely.

The battle of fear is won or lost in the battle of the mind. So every morning, put on the FULL Armor of God so that you can protect yourself from the fear that tries grip you through intimidating words. Deceitful eyes. Lying tongues. You are a Child of God, so whom shall you fear?

Not An Empty Promise

The LORD said to Moses, “Tell Aaron and his sons. ‘This is how you are to bless the Israelites. Say to them: The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the LORD turn his face toward you and give you peace.’ So they will put my name on the Israelites, and I will bless them.” ~ Numbers 6:22-27

This Scripture tells us that God wants to bless you, but He cannot bless where He is not wanted or where His mighty Name is not honored. Did you bless your children today before you sent them off to school? Did you put the Name of YHWH on your family so He can bless them? These are not empty promises, nor are they meaningless words, but rather, they are true words of blessings, and God WILL bless them. He has given you the power to speak life and blessings.

My Adonai, please bless everyone that reads this prayer and accepts it as their own; bless them with all the above blessings. May the richness of Your presence surround them today so much so that they are fully aware of their God. We love and honor You now, in Jesus’ name, I pray, amen.

God’s Miraculous Provision

1 But Elisha said, “Hear the word of the Lord: thus says the Lord, ‘Tomorrow about this time a seah of fine flour shall be sold for a shekel, and two seahs of barley for a shekel, at the gate of Samaria.’” Then the captain on whose hand the king leaned said to the man of God, “If the Lord Himself should make windows in heaven, could this thing be?” But he said, “You shall see it with your own eyes, but you shall not eat of it.” ~ 2 Kings 7:1-2

Understand that there was a severe famine going on in the land of Israel at this time. So grievous that the people were cooking and eating their own children. There was no food because of the siege. But God said in one day, in one twenty-four-hour period, you will have an overabundance. Though right now you have nothing, tomorrow you will have more than enough. The officer who didn’t believe was trampled by the people and died when the news came the next day, so he didn’t get to partake. I wonder how many times we Christians get hours away from our breakthrough, and the lack of faith keeps us from holding on for the last stretch.

Your situation might be the same as theirs. You don’t know how you’re going to survive. You don’t know how you’re going to feed your family or pay your bills. Maybe it’s a little different. Maybe you are praying for a prodigal son or a wayward daughter, or maybe it’s your spouse that is causing you heartaches. And though you are praying, though you are seeking, it looks like they are getting worse, not better. But if you put your trust and hope in the LORD, that too can and will change for you also. Maybe not in the next twenty-four-hour period, but it will change if you don’t give up.

God is a resourceful God, and He will supply all your needs according to His riches in heaven. One day you’re in deep lack, and the next, you can have an overabundance in all things, not just finances. Remember, all things are possible with God; just pray and believe.

Heavenly Father, I pray for a mighty move of God today in the life of everyone who is in deep need, someone whose situation is dire. Would You please move in each situation? Let Your people know that You are still on Your throne and still in charge. Let them see Your power has not diminished in any way, and Your love has not lessened. Bring about a mighty change in someone’s life that they may have such a testimony. In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen.

Shout Even Louder

As Jesus and His disciples were leaving Jericho, a large crowd followed him. Two blind men were sitting by the roadside, and when they heard that Jesus was going by, they shouted, “Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us!” The crowd rebuked them and told them to be quiet, but they shouted all the louder, “Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us!” ~ Matthew 20:29-31

Today’s crowd is even more selfish, for they don’t even want Jesus to come into their city. But the two blind men were not intimidated nor discouraged. They shouted even louder, and Jesus heard them and granted them their heart’s desire. If they had caved under the crowd’s abusive words or decided to wait for a more opportune time, they would have missed their miracle. Don’t wait, don’t be intimidated, don’t hesitate, and DO NOT BE DENIED. Jesus is passing by; this is your day and your miracle. Just reach out and touch Him, and your life will never be the same.

LORD, harken Your ear to each cry of faith today and give a healing touch to everyone who believes. Grant liberation to those who call and deliverance to those who are bound. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Choose To Be Thankful

15 And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. 16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. 17 And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” ~ Colossians 3:15-17

When life happens, it’s often hard to be thankful. We forget the blessing of God, and we focus solely on the pain that we are enduring in that moment. In that season. But God’s love and faithfulness have not ceased. Did you noticed that it says, let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts… and be thankful?

Then it goes on to say let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing… with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And finally, everything you do, do it in the name of the LORD Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. So what does all of that mean?

In everything, give thanks. No matter the situation. No matter the hurt or pain. And in doing so, the LORD God will bless you. He will give you peace. He will give you joy. And nothing in Heaven, nor on Earth, can take that away from you.

Peace. Love. Go Forth and Choose To Be Thankful.

The Goodness of The LORD

“I am still confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.” ~ Psalm 27:13-14

Sometimes we are tricked into thinking that we have hope only in eternity, and this life is only filled with hardships. The truth is, we can see the goodness of the LORD in this life, as well as the life to come if we pray and believe and wait on the LORD. Sure there will be obstacles and hardships, that’s unavoidable, but we are also promised the good along with the bad. It won’t just be all bad; wait upon the LORD and seek Him. When you seek Him with all of your heart, He will answer.

Heavenly Father, there are many of Your people who may be somewhat disheartened with life. LORD, please minister to these needs today. Heal sick bodies, restore broken relationships, give favor and success to those who are job hunting, and give wisdom to the businessmen and women. Father, bring hope to the hopeless situation. Bring joy and peace to turmoil.

In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen.

His Peace

27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.” ~ John 14:27

Jesus knew what was ahead, so He planned for it. Every stripe on His back was for you. Every thorn in His brow was for you. Every nail in His wrist. Everything Jesus did was for you. But He didn’t stop there; He left us His peace. He gave us the peace that got Him through the betrayal, through the hurt, through the cross. He gave that to us. Don’t be deceived by the thoughts that can plague your mind, but instead lean on Jesus. I know it doesn’t sound good enough. I know it is difficult. I know it sounds like foolishness, but if you believe that Jesus can cleanse you from all of your sins, He can give you peace as you live your life here on Earth.

Don’t lose hope, trust in the LORD. Hold to His promises, and believe that you will have peace. Stand up to thoughts that plague your mind. Refuse to accept them. Encourage yourself in the LORD, for He is good. Don’t give up. Don’t give up. Fight for your life. Jesus said, “I come to give life and life more abundantly.” Your life is more precious than any gold or silver. God Himself formed you. The creator of the universe loves you. You are not worthless. You are not without purpose. You are not meaningless. You are not pathetic. You are chosen. You have more value than you could ever know or understand. Your life has meaning. Don’t give up. Hold to the promises of our LORD and Savior.

LORD God, we ask that You intervene in my life. Come to my rescue and protect me. Come to my rescue and defend me. Stand in our defense LORD God and rebuke every thought that tries to destroy me. Destroy every thought tells me I’m not good enough. That tells me I should just give up, for You, oh God, has given me a new life. I am a new creation in You. I am a Child of God. Thank You, LORD God, for all that You are doing and will do in my life. I place my life in Your hands, LORD God. I ask that You lead me out of this torment and into Your Holy Peace.

In The Name of Jesus, I pray, Amen.
