13 But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived. ~ 2 Timothy 3:13NKJV
Paul warned Timothy of a coming time when evil men and imposter would grow worse as they deceived the Church and themselves. So many of these false teachers who teach a blasphemous message don’t do just because they want to be blasphemous, but because they think they are right. Pride has captured their hearts. They’ve begun serving Leviathan as their king, not God.
When we believe that we are the source of our own wisdom and understanding, we open ourselves up to corruption. When we believe we cannot be corrected by Scripture because we are too wise, then we have become so arrogant that we deceive, not just others, but ourselves.
God is the source of wisdom and understanding. His ways are higher than our ways. So, how can we, mere dust, correct the Almighty God? When we become arrogant and prideful, God humbles us, and in many cases, the humbling is in the next life. Therefore, guard your hearts so that you might not be corrupted by pride and arrogance.
Peace. Love. Go Forth and Believe God.
