Hell Pt. 6: Is The Lake of Fire The Holy Spirit?

The Lake of Fire is only mentioned by name four times in Scripture; each time, it’s in the book of Revelation. It’s described as the Second Death that the wicked are thrown into after the Last Judgment. Some claim that this Lake of Fire is the Holy Spirit. What exactly does that mean? How can the final punishment of the wicked be the Holy Spirit? Join ArieRashelle as she searches for the answer to these questions in her video, Hell Pt. 6: Is The Lake of Fire The Holy Spirit?

The Lake of Fire and The Holy Spirit

The Lake of Fire

11 Then I saw a great white throne and Him who was seated on it. From His presence earth and sky fled away, and no place was found for them. 12 And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Then another book was opened, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged by what was written in the books, according to what they had done. 13 And the sea gave up the dead who were in it, Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them, and they were judged, each one of them, according to what they had done. 14 Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. 15 And if anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

Revelation 20:11-15

The Holy Spirit

11 I baptize you with water for repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. 12 His winnowing fork is in His hand, and He will clear His threshing floor and gather His wheat into the barn, but the chaff He will burn with unquenchable fire.
