Remember His Promises

43 So the Lord gave Israel all the land He had sworn to give their ancestors, and they took possession of it and settled there. 44 The Lord gave them rest on every side, just as He had sworn to their ancestors. Not one of their enemies withstood them; the Lord gave all their enemies into their hands. 45 Not one of all the Lord’s good promises to Israel failed; every one was fulfilled. ~ Joshua 21:43-45

The LORD does NOT change. If He fulfilled the promises He made to Israel, He will fulfill the promises He made to you. Don’t be discouraged by the amount of time it’s taking for your promises to be fulfilled. It took generations for the promises to Abraham to come to pass.

I know that in our generation, it can be difficult to have patience because God’s timing isn’t like ours. It won’t always happen overnight. It won’t always happen as soon as we ask. It took Daniel 21 days of constant prayer to see His prayer fulfilled. We’ve been promised that when we ask, we shall receive when we ask in faith. So, don’t give up on the promises you have yet to see. Don’t give up on the prayers you have prayed. Don’t lose your faith.

faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. (Hebrews 11:1) Hold to your promises. Remind the LORD daily in prayer and have faith because our God will fulfill every promise. Not one of His promises fail. EVERY ONE IS FULFILLED.

Peace. Love. Go Forth and Remember His Promises.

Pick Up Just Enough

“Then Moses told them, ‘Do not keep any of it until morning.’ But some of them didn’t listen and kept some of it until morning. But by then it was full of maggots and had a terrible smell. Moses was very angry with them.” ~ Exodus 16:19-20NLT

While in the wilderness, God rained down Manna for the Children of Israel to eat. Now God made a strict rule, only pick up enough for that day and don’t keep any until morning. But not everyone listened, so what they picked up spoiled and was filled with maggots. I believe God did this to build trust. He was saying, “look, I got you, okay? I got you. I will provide food for you every day. You don’t have to worry. You don’t have to wonder what you will eat tomorrow because I will provide for you. You just have to trust me.”

I believe that’s what He still does today. He tells us not to take on too much and trust Him, yet we work on Sundays, we work overtime because we have the fear that we won’t be able to pay the bills. And I’m not saying that isn’t a real fear, but God said to put Him first, and He will provide everything you need. So don’t miss Church or miss time with God because of work, work but make time for God, and you will never be without. You will have enough to pay your bills and buy food. Just place your faith in God instead of yourself.

Peace. Love. Go Forth and Pick Up Just Enough.

A Seemingly False Word

16 And he [Elisha the prophet] said, “Thus says the Lord, ‘I will make this dry streambed full of pools.’ 17 For thus says the Lord, ‘You shall not see wind or rain, but that streambed shall be filled with water, so that you shall drink, you, your livestock, and your animals.’ 18 This is a light thing in the sight of the Lord. He will also give the Moabites into your hand, 19 and you shall attack every fortified city and every choice city, and shall fell every good tree and stop up all springs of water and ruin every good piece of land with stones.” 20 The next morning, about the time of offering the sacrifice, behold, water came from the direction of Edom, till the country was filled with water. ~ 2 Kings 3:16-20

When the King of Israel, the King of Judah, and the King of Edom heard these words, their hearts were encouraged. They went after Moab; as a matter of fact, they destroyed Moab to the point where Moab fled, and they continued beating them as they chased him. Now catch what happens when the King of Moab sees that he’s losing and could not break away from them.

27 Then he [King of Moab] took his oldest son who was to reign in his place and offered him for a burnt offering on the wall. And there came great wrath against Israel. And they withdrew from him and returned to their own land.

Those men who all believed what Elisha the PROPHET just said were now running with their tail between their legs. Elisha specifically said that THE LORD would give the Moabites into their hands, yet they ended up running away and returning to their own land because GREAT WRATH came against them. You know what is never said in this story? That Elisha was a False Prophet. Not once is that mentioned. Not once was that even considered. They don’t even go back to war with the Moabites during the lifetime of Elisha.

Elisha prophesied with the utmost confidence that The LORD would give the Moabites into the hands of these three kings, but because the King of Moab turned to witchcraft, Israel lost. Now, I’m not saying that witchcraft is stronger than God. We know that isn’t true, but witchcraft isn’t just something to laugh at either. This is why Paul tells us to put on the Full Armor of God, tear down strongholds, cast down thoughts, etc. We wouldn’t need armor if the enemy had no power.

When God gives us a word, we have to hold to that word. Israel, Judah, and Edom were given a word, but they ran instead of calling on the Name of The LORD. What would’ve happened if they stood on the word given to them by Elisha from God? If they had only gone in the power of God instead of their own power, they would have seen the word God gave to Elisha come to pass.

God can give us a word, but unless we do our part, that word will not come to pass. And just like Israel, Judah, and Edom, we will have no one else to blame but ourselves. We have to do our part. Moses had to raise his staff in faith. Abraham had to carry his son Isaac up the mountain sacrifice him in faith. Noah had to build the ark in faith. We have to do our part in faith. Things don’t always go smoothly. Things don’t always happen the way we expect, but if we are faithful and stand on the word God has given to us, then we will see that word come to pass.

Peace. Love. Go Forth and Hold To The Word God Has Given You.

Look For The Invisible

By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible.” Hebrews 11:3

We believe that God created everything out of nothing. He spoke light into being. Birds. Fish. Trees. Grass. Etc. He created everything from nothing. He is a God that does not change. If He could create light out of nothing, He can create a path to your next step out of nothing. When you’re trapped in a situation, and you don’t know how you will be able to get out of it, God has a plan.

Even if you can’t see it, God can create a door where there is no door. If you can’t pay your bills. If you’ve just lost your job. No matter the case, if you place your trust in Him, He will create for you a path to victory, even if you can’t see it yet.

Peace. Love. Go Forth and Look For The Invisible.

Be Fueled By Faith

18 When the child had grown, he went out one day to his father among the reapers. 19 And he said to his father, ‘Oh, my head, my head!’ The father said to his servant, ‘Carry him to his mother.’ 20 And when he had lifted him and brought him to his mother, the child sat on her lap till noon, and then he died. 21 And she went up and laid him on the bed of the man of God and shut the door behind him and went out.

22 Then she called to her husband and said, ‘Send me one of the servants and one of the donkeys, that I may quickly go to the man of God and come back again.’ 23 And he said, ‘Why will you go to him today? It is neither new moon nor Sabbath.’ She said, ‘All is well.’ 24 Then she saddled the donkey, and she said to her servant, ‘Urge the animal on; do not slacken the pace for me unless I tell you.’ 25 So she set out and came to the man of God at Mount Carmel.” ~ 2 Kings 4:18-25

When the Shunammite woman’s son died, she went straight to Elisha. She didn’t go to her friends. She didn’t go to her family. She didn’t complain. She didn’t get upset. She went straight to the Man of God. When people asked her how she is doing and about her son, she just responded: “all is well.” She never allowed what her eyes saw to be the final say. She never allowed the physical to dictate the spiritual.

Her faith was never shaken because she remembered the miracles of her past. She remembered the answered prayers. Her faith was dictated what she saw, not the other way around. That’s how we need to be. Our faith should dictate what we see. When tragedy hits, we should see hope. When trials come, we should see miracles. We should live our lives fueled by our faith. Our Faith should guide our walk. Our talk. Our actions. And our thoughts. Our faith should be the lens that we see the world through.

God’s Miraculous Provision

1 But Elisha said, “Hear the word of the Lord: thus says the Lord, ‘Tomorrow about this time a seah of fine flour shall be sold for a shekel, and two seahs of barley for a shekel, at the gate of Samaria.’” Then the captain on whose hand the king leaned said to the man of God, “If the Lord Himself should make windows in heaven, could this thing be?” But he said, “You shall see it with your own eyes, but you shall not eat of it.” ~ 2 Kings 7:1-2

Understand that there was a severe famine going on in the land of Israel at this time. So grievous that the people were cooking and eating their own children. There was no food because of the siege. But God said in one day, in one twenty-four-hour period, you will have an overabundance. Though right now you have nothing, tomorrow you will have more than enough. The officer who didn’t believe was trampled by the people and died when the news came the next day, so he didn’t get to partake. I wonder how many times we Christians get hours away from our breakthrough, and the lack of faith keeps us from holding on for the last stretch.

Your situation might be the same as theirs. You don’t know how you’re going to survive. You don’t know how you’re going to feed your family or pay your bills. Maybe it’s a little different. Maybe you are praying for a prodigal son or a wayward daughter, or maybe it’s your spouse that is causing you heartaches. And though you are praying, though you are seeking, it looks like they are getting worse, not better. But if you put your trust and hope in the LORD, that too can and will change for you also. Maybe not in the next twenty-four-hour period, but it will change if you don’t give up.

God is a resourceful God, and He will supply all your needs according to His riches in heaven. One day you’re in deep lack, and the next, you can have an overabundance in all things, not just finances. Remember, all things are possible with God; just pray and believe.

Heavenly Father, I pray for a mighty move of God today in the life of everyone who is in deep need, someone whose situation is dire. Would You please move in each situation? Let Your people know that You are still on Your throne and still in charge. Let them see Your power has not diminished in any way, and Your love has not lessened. Bring about a mighty change in someone’s life that they may have such a testimony. In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen.

No Significant Features

“Go and look toward the sea,” he told his servant. And he went up and looked. “There is nothing there,” he said. Seven times Elijah said, “Go back.” The seventh time the servant reported, “A cloud as small as a man’s hand is rising from the sea.” So Elijah said, “Go and tell Ahab, ‘ Hitch up your chariot and go down before the rain stops you.'” ~ 1 Kings 18: 43-44

There was a severe drought in Israel; God had shut up the heavens because of King Ahab and Jezebel’s idolatry. It had not rained for three and a half years. Elijah prayed earnestly seven times without doubting or giving up. Even before he saw the small speck of a cloud, he had told Ahab, “Go eat and drink for there is the sound of a heavy rain.”

Are you in a drought? Are you believing God for a mighty miracle? A complete change in your situation? Begin to pray earnestly and believe without doubting for your miracle. Proclaim it, there is the sound of abundance coming, even though there are no significant features, nothing is seeming to change, look toward the sea, there is a small cloud rising, it’s your miracle, your abundant rain.

Heavenly Father, hear us from heaven and touch our generation. Bring about the mighty miracles that your people need today. Bring healing, change finances, heal depression. LORD mend the situation in families and unite them again. Let love reign in our life, let forgiveness show through in all situations. Change circumstances in workplaces. LORD breathe on the economies of the world, jump-start the economic recovery, and provide the needed jobs. In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen.

From Lack to Lush

Understand Authority

When he had entered Capernaum, a centurion came forward to him, appealing to him, “Lord, my servant is lying paralyzed at home, suffering terribly.” And he said to him, “I will come and heal him.” But the centurion replied, “Lord, I am not worthy to have you come under my roof, but only say the word, and my servant will be healed. For I too am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. And I say to one, ‘Go,’ and he goes, and to another, ‘Come,’ and he comes, and to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”

10 When Jesus heard this, he marveled and said to those who followed him, “Truly, I tell you, with no one in Israel have I found such faith. 11 I tell you, many will come from east and west and recline at table with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven, 12 while the sons of the kingdom will be thrown into the outer darkness. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” 13 And to the centurion Jesus said, “Go; let it be done for you as you have believed.” And the servant was healed at that very moment. ~ Matthew 8:5-13

The Centurion didn’t personally know Jesus. He didn’t sit and have multiple conversations with Jesus. He only knew of His power. He knew of His authority. He understood His authority. Why? Because the Centurion had authority as well, so he knew how it worked. Before even meeting Jesus, he had faith because he understood authority.

Do we understand authority? Or does doubt overcome us, by squashing our faith? We read scriptures about Jesus’ name. We hear stories of the miraculous still being done in today’s world by the authority of His name. But we doubt. We don’t believe that these things are possible, yet we know Him. We allow our religiosity to get in the way and blind us from the relationship. The relationship didn’t suddenly weaken because the apostles died. The relationship didn’t suddenly dry up because the Bible was finally finished. The relationship still has the potential of being strong. Stronger than ever.

God promised in the last days He would pour out His Spirit on all flesh. If Jesus was coming soon 2,000 years ago, would it be crazy to believe that these are the last days now? Why would we doubt that greatness can happen in our time? Jesus said we would do what He did and more. So why do we settle for nothing? Why do we settle for no miracles?

The faith of a mustard seed could cause a mountain to jump. Strengthen your faith for the impossible to happen. Strengthen your faith to do what not even Jesus did. It’s not pride, because it’s not by our power. It’s His power. It’s by the Holy Spirit who empowered Jesus. We just have to stop looking at the Bible as a historical document from the past, and start looking at it as a blueprint to the beginning of the future. Just because something wasn’t recorded in the Bible, doesn’t mean it isn’t possible to achieve. You have to build your faith, not your religion.

Peace. Love. Go Forth and Understand Authority

Test Your Faith

16 Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego answered and said to the king, “O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter. 17 If this be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of your hand, O king. 18 But if not, be it known to you, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the golden image that you have set up.” ~ Daniel 3:16-18

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego refused to bow to the statue set up by King Nebuchadnezzar. That took a whole ‘nother level of faith to stand in front of the fiery furnace, feel the heat resonating off of it, and still refuse to bow to the statue. That’s faith to the death. Do we have that kind of faith today? Do we have the faith to say, “I know you’re capable, but even if you don’t my hope is in you alone”?

Who does your hope lie in? Where do you place your trust? If you don’t get that promotion, are you still going to put your trust in God? If you don’t get that job you want, are you still going to put your trust in God? If you’re held at gunpoint and told to deny that Jesus is The Way, The Truth, and The Life, are you still going to trust in God? Times are coming when our faith is going to be tested beyond what we can imagine. We think that because we live in societies that are free, that freedom will always be there. We think that because we live in societies that still hold to the traditions of religion, that religion won’t be changed. We live in little bubbles that never test our faith, so our faith never grows.

Imagine if tomorrow the world completely lost its mind and got rid of all religions except one false one. Imagine if they built a statue and told you to bow to it or lose your life. Would you be able to stand? Would you be like those three young Hebrew boys, or would you give in to fear because your faith wasn’t strong enough? Take the time of freedom to build your faith because no one knows what tomorrow may bring. Jesus said we would see tribulation like never before, is the Church ready for this? Or have we become so lukewarm we no longer hold to what Jesus said, but to what we feel we deserve to happen.

Peace. Love. Go Forth and Test Your Faith.
