“5 When these celebrations ended—sometimes after several days—Job would purify his children. He would get up early in the morning and offer a burnt offering for each of them. For Job said to himself, ‘Perhaps my children have sinned and have cursed God in their hearts.’ This was Job’s regular practice.” ~ Job 1:5NLT
Job’s children were grown. They moved out. They had their own homes and families. Yet Job prayed for them and covered them, just in case they sinned. He never let go of his children. He never said, “They’re grown. They have their own life.” He prayed for them. And when they died, he didn’t feel hopelessness because he had faith that his prayers were making a difference in his children’s lives.
How often do you cover your children? How often do you pray for them? For their salvation? For God’s mercy on them? Every morning we should cover our loved ones with prayers. Especially our children. When we pray, things happen.
