13 Now when they had departed, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and said, “Rise, take the child and his mother, and flee to Egypt, and remain there until I tell you, for Herod is about to search for the child, to destroy Him.” 14 And he rose and took the child and His mother by night and departed to Egypt and remained there until the death of Herod. 15 This was to fulfill what the Lord had spoken by the prophet, “Out of Egypt I called my son.” ~ Matthew 2:13-15
Herod tried to stop the coming of Christ, the Messiah of all the world. He tried to stop the hand of God from moving forward, but He couldn’t. No one can stop the hand of God. No one can keep His promises from being fulfilled. No matter how high up they are, no matter if they are a king, president, ruler, or prince, no one can keep the promises of God from being fulfilled.
God made us numerous promises throughout Scripture. Hold tight to them. Don’t let the Devil stop them. This Christmas Season, remember that nothing can stop God’s promises from coming to fruition. Hold on tightly to the hope of Christ Jesus. Encourage yourself in the Word of God.
