I recently saw a short explaining that poisonous dart frogs are only poisonous because of the food they eat, and that blew my mind. Why? Because it wasn’t something that came naturally that their body produced on its own. No. It was due to the food they were eating. See, these poisonous dart frogs are just like humans. What we consume through our eyes and ears determines whether or not we will be poisonous. It is out of the heart that the mouth speaks. It’s out of what you have been feeding your soul that your mouth and your actions come from.
If we continuously take in darkness, then our thoughts will be dark. Our words will be dark. Our actions will be dark, but if we take in Light. Then our thoughts, words, and actions will reflect that. There will be a noticeable change. When evil is done to us, our first reaction isn’t to return that evil with more evil. Or hate for hate. When we take in Light as our source of feeding our soul and spirit, then we become more like the Light of the World. We become more like Christ.
