Hang On Just A Little Bit Longer

3 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. ~ 2 Timothy 3:1

Perilous times are prophesied for the end time dwellers, and therefore, perilous times are coming. Jesus said that a time of great tribulation such as never was, and never will be again, is coming upon the earth, and I believe it is here now. Or at the very least, it is has begun.

The elect, which is us Christians, will also experience dreadful and trying times; otherwise, God would not have to shorten those days for the elect’s sake. Believe me, when I say those days are upon us now. Look at the world, God is hated, and His people are despised. There are those who are trying to cause chaos in the Church. And those who say that they love Jesus but are secretly servants of Satan and are throwing Christians into confusion and dividing the body of Christ. You can read about it in the news; whole denominations are splitting over matters that were settled centuries, even millenniums ago.

But the good news is, He is watching, He is waiting, and when it becomes too much for His people, He will cut those days short, and He will come and get us and deliver us out of all terrible things. He hasn’t forgotten us. He is not going to leave us to the mercy of the world and the haters of God forever. He loves us.

Peace. Love. Go Forth and Hang On Just A Little Bit Longer.

Share The Love of God

16 But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display His immense patience as an example for those who would believe in Him and receive eternal life. ~ 1 Timothy 1:16

Often times when we look at people, we measure their worth based on our flawed beliefs and feelings. We see certain sinners as undeserving of forgiveness because we don’t fully understand the love of God. God’s love shows no partiality. We’re all sinners. We’ve been shown grace that we might be able to lead others to that same grace.

There’s no such thing as too dirty or too much sin for God to redeem. For where sin is, there is even more grace that we might be saved. God’s love doesn’t work the same way ours does. His love is overwhelming, never-ending, and reckless. He doesn’t care whether He has to risk His own life to save us. His only goal is to save us. That’s why there is no sin too great for Him to forgive. He already gave Himself so that we could be saved, regardless of how far we’ve strayed or what we’ve done. His desire is that we might have eternal life.

So, no matter how lowly we think of someone, God sees worth beyond compare. He didn’t die for the righteous; He died for sinners. That includes all sinners, even those we don’t see as worth saving. They’re worth it to God. So, no matter the sin, always share the love of God wherever you go in the hope that all might come to the acceptance of Christ.

Peace. Love. Go Forth and Share The Love of God.

Lulled To Sleep

22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. 23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks intently at his natural face in a mirror. 24 For he looks at himself and goes away and at once forgets what he was like. ~ James 1:22-24ESV

So many of us in the Church today were raised in church from childhood. We’ve heard the Bible our entire lives, and to many of us, it’s lulled us to sleep. We’ve forgotten that love we had at first. We’ve gotten so used to grace that we’ve forgotten the price that was paid. We’ve forgotten how much God has done for us and in us.

When we go to church, it’s no longer about growing in Spirit and Truth; it’s become about a religious ritual that we believe will get us into Heaven. The message begins to fall on deaf ears, and we stop growing, becoming complacent we forget who we once were. But it’s not too late to awaken your sleeping spirit. It’s not too late to melt your heart of stone. God has already paid your debt; all you have to do is repent.

Dear LORD God, please forgive me for taking Your Word for granted and for taking advantage of Your grace. Please replace my heart of stone with a heart of flesh and renew a right spirit within me. Awaken my sleeping spirit that I might know You and who You created me to be. In Jesus’ Name, I pray, amen.

Change For The Better

If you really change your ways and your actions and deal with each other justly, if you do not oppress the foreigner, the fatherless or the widow and do not shed innocent blood in this place, and if you do not follow other gods to your own harm, then I will let you live in this place, in the land I gave your ancestors for ever and ever. ~ Jeremiah 7:5-7

First things first. God wants us all to change. But to change for the better. He wants us to be just and fair. Not mean and stingy. Not just to our loved ones, but even to the stranger who isn’t like us. He wants us to show no partiality.

As Christians, we don’t focus on race, ethnicity, nationality, political views, religious views, or anything else that the world tries to divide us with. We love because He first loved us and taught us how to live and love. He told us, do not shed innocent blood (which includes sacrificing our own children), and do not follow other gods (knowingly or unknowingly).

What I mean is this: do not participate in things that are used in the worship of other gods, such as abortion (which is child sacrifice) and yoga (which is synonymous with Eastern religious worship), whether some people accept it or not.

God said, if you do these things (love all people) and keep away from the others (sin and temptation), you will live in His promise. So, I ask you, do you want to live in God’s promises? Of course you do. We all do.

If so, then, today, make a commitment to live in obedience and stay away from rebellion and blatant sin. Dear heavenly Father, I come in reverence seeking Your face and calling upon Your Name. Please forgive me and help me to live my life according to Your great expectations You have made. Thank You, LORD Jesus, for it is in Your name we pray, amen.

Pure Thoughts

22 Repent of this wickedness and pray to the Lord in the hope that He may forgive you for having such a thought in your heart. ~ Acts 8:22NIV

Ever heard of the saying, it’s the thought that counts? Well, in this case, when the thinker doesn’t act upon his evil thought, and he doesn’t even allow it to escape his lips. The thought that he allows himself to ponder and build a fantasy from is a transgression against God.

Now, when a thought enters your mind in the form of a temptation, cast it down. Don’t let evil thoughts give birth in your mind. Don’t let temptation infiltrate your imagination. All of our actions stem from our thoughts, so we must control them. We must bring them into submission because our thoughts don’t control us; we control our thoughts.

The LORD, our God, won’t hold anyone guiltless that is consumed by their thoughts. Why? Because it’s a matter of the heart. God wants a pure heart and clean hands so that we might not be a slave to the world. Whom the Son sets free is free indeed, for where the Spirit of the LORD is, there is freedom.

Dear heavenly Father, forgive me from my ungodly thoughts and help me to have pure, holy thoughts. Thoughts of love and kindness. Thank You for cleansing me. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Stick To God’s Plan

God decided in advance to adopt us into His own family by bringing us to Himself through Jesus Christ. This is what He wanted to do, and it gave Him great pleasure. ~ Ephesians 1:5

God’s salvation plan wasn’t last minute. It wasn’t something that He just pulled out of the air. He planned this from the very beginning. He prepared a way for us to return to Him before we even fell from grace. God hasn’t changed. Before we’re even tempted to sin, God created an escape plan for us.

Peace. Love. Go Forth and Stick To God’s Plan.

Know Your Worth

19 It was the precious blood of Christ, the sinless, spotless Lamb of God. 20 God chose Him as your ransom long before the world began, but now in these last days He has been revealed for your sake. ~ 1 Peter 1:19-20

Valentine’s Day is usually a day we think about our significant other, roses, chocolate, date night, love, and basically anything other than the ultimate act of love that took place 2,000 years ago. Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross was the ultimate act of love that He didn’t have to do. He didn’t have to set aside His Throne or Godliness to save us, but He did. He gave up everything, including His very life, so that He could pay our debt and redeem us from our sin.

This Valentine’s Day, remember that ultimate act of love. Remember the love that you’re worth, and don’t settle for anything less. The God of everything we see and don’t see knows you by name and knows your worth. So, you should as well.

Peace. Love. Go Forth and Know Your Worth.

Hold To His Word

28 I weep with sorrow; encourage me by Your word. ~ Psalms 119:28

The Word of God isn’t a book of rules and laws. It’s a personal letter written to us by God for low days and high days. It’s not about dos and don’ts. It’s about God speaking to us through His Word. He wants to get to know us and us to get to know Him. His Word is the key to walking in the light instead of the darkness. So, when we’re depressed or overwhelmed, we can read His Word, and He will encourage us. We don’t have to remain depressed and in darkness; the light of God is right around the corner.

Peace. Love. Go Forth and Hold To His Word.

Go To God First

16 Turn to me and have mercy, for I am alone and in deep distress. ~ Psalms 25:16

When we’re in pain, the first thing we should do is turn to God. He’s our helper and defender. He heals the brokenhearted and gives strength to the weak. Our God is unlike any other god. He’s the God that wants to help you and heal you. He wants to make things better for you. He’s the best best-friend you could ever ask for. So, the next time you’re in distress, go to God first, and He will strengthen and help you.

See Jesus

19 Soon the world will no longer see me, but you will see me. Since I live, you also will live. ~ John 14:19

The world may not see God, but we do. We see Him in our everyday lives. Every little miracle comes from above. See, Jesus isn’t physically here, but He lives through us. We may not physically see Him or talk to Him, but we can spiritually communicate with Him. When we pray, we are seated in Heavenly places with the LORD. We aren’t alone, His Holy Spirit lives in us. He guides us so we don’t fall off the path. He prays for us because we don’t know how to pray for ourselves. We are not alone.

Peace. Love. Go Forth and See Jesus.
