Don’t Believe The Lies

Then these high officials and satraps came by agreement to the king and said to him, “O King Darius, live forever! All the high officials of the kingdom, the prefects and the satraps, the counselors and the governors are agreed that the king should establish an ordinance and enforce an injunction, that whoever makes petition to any god or man for thirty days, except to you, O king, shall be cast into the den of lions. Now, O king, establish the injunction and sign the document, so that it cannot be changed, according to the law of the Medes and the Persians, which cannot be revoked.” Therefore King Darius signed the document and injunction. ~ Daniel 6:6–9

Envy is a terrible slave master. It will make you do some despicable things,
not excluding lying with the intent to cause murder, as these men did. It knows
no bounds, no limits, has no friends, has no loyalty. Envy is a cunning
emotion, and these men were caught in its vice grip.

The Scriptures say that it pleased King Darius to set 120 satraps over the
whole kingdom. A satrap was a governor of a province or a ruler. So, the
kingdom was probably divided into 120 provinces, and each province had a
governor or some high-ranking official called a satrap over each one.

Then the king was pleased to set three top officials over the 120 satraps
(Daniel 6:1–2). Everything was working out just fine until envy set in. You
see, Daniel began to distinguish himself from the others through his work ethic
and his honesty. So, the king was further pleased to set Daniel over them all.

That’s when the others had enough of Mr. Goody Two Shoes, and that
green-eyed giant of envy raised his nasty head. And they began to plot. They
tried to find some kind of dirt on Daniel, anything, anything at all. But try
as they may, they could not find anything because Daniel was an honest,
hardworking, squeaky-clean man, righteous in all of his ways. They came to the
conclusion that they would never find anything illegal against him. So, they
would have to invent something. But that is nothing new; it still happens
today.

The punishment for their setup of Daniel was death by the same
means they had intended for him. Envy will convince you that it will get you
whatever it is that you desire from someone without punishment. But there are
always consequences for every action we make, whether good or bad. Don’t allow
that green-eyed monster to convince you otherwise.

The enemy’s goal is to spiritually kill us. So, he makes certain parts of our faith illegal with each and every generation. Some of us hold on regardless of repercussions, as Daniel did, but others of us fall prey to the enemy’s plan. One day, he’ll even set up a system that the consequence will be death to all who refuse to bow their knee to the normalized sin of the enemy. This system isn’t too far off, it’s already here in certain parts of the world, but one day it will come to the west. It’ll overtake us by force like a flood we can’t run from. There will be two options set before us, just like Daniel, spiritual death or physical death.

But don’t be discouraged or frightened. Our bodies aren’t our own; we belong to Christ. We are the Temple of the Living God, and He will have vengeance on anyone who destroys His Temple. He will bring Justice and cause an end to the wickedness of this world. He will come back to redeem His people and bring His rewards with Him. Therefore, be encouraged. If the world is against you, then God is for you. Stay awake, for the hour is coming when darkness will fully reign, and there will only be two choices for all people.

Await Your Deliverance

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for His own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. 10 Once you were not a people, but now you are God’s people; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy. ~ 1 Peter 2:9–10

We are royal because God has adopted us as sons and daughters, just like Moses was adopted by Pharaoh’s daughter. We walk in power and anointing because we have been baptized with God’s Holy Spirit. Just like Moses came out of the palace, we, too, have been called out of darkness and into God’s marvelous light.

We are empowered to perform signs, wonders, miracles, healings, and even raise the dead. Signs and wonders are appearing in the Church in these last days. More and more reports of healings and deliverances are happening all over the place, especially in third-world countries such as Africa and some in South America, and even right here in America.

Although we are persecuted, although we are ridiculed, and all manner of evil is said about us, we believe that in the last days, God will stretch out His hand and strike Pharoah and Egypt, bringing judgment on them and delivering us out of Egypt. Egypt represents the unrepentant world. So, hold your head high; your deliverer will soon come.

Peace. Love. Go Forth and Await Your Deliverance.

Evangelize

13 Go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, and not sacrifice.’ For I came not to call the righteous, but sinners. And if you had known what this means, ‘I desire mercy, and not sacrifice,’ you would not have condemned the guiltless. ~ Matthew 9:13; 12:7

Jesus was actually quoting Hosea 6:6 “For I desire mercy, not sacrifice, and acknowledgment of God rather than burnt offerings.” From the very beginning, God was concerned for the lost, those who are stumbling through life. He wants them saved. But not even some of our church elders are interested in evangelism. Most churches do not prioritize targeting and evangelizing the lost; they are without a plan, neither to reach nor to equip the saints for good work and maybe that is the cause of the lack of motivation to reach the lost.

The early Church made evangelizing a priority with their preaching. Paul single-handedly turned the whole world upside down. Men, women, and children were coming to the saving knowledge of Jesus by the thousands on a daily basis.

They endured ridicule, whippings, prison, and the confiscation of their property for the right to evangelize. We, today’s Christians, are so lukewarm with our beliefs that the people we work with don’t even know we are Christians, and if they catch wind that we are, it is plain that it is in religion only. But God is not pleased with our lack of evangelizing. That is our great commission. Be His witnesses because He is concerned about the lost.

The Church has become lazy and apathetic, with no sense of urgency to reach lost people. We sit back and think to ourselves that evangelizing is the pastor’s job; that’s what he gets paid to do. Others are embarrassed or too politically correct to witness to a lost and dying world who do not know their right hand from their left.

LORD forbid we offend someone trying to save their soul from an eternity in a burning fiery lake of fire. How is it that we can have unrepented members coming to church Sunday after Sunday for years and never accept Jesus as LORD and Savior? That is incredulous. We may not be concerned about the lost, but trust me, God is very, very concerned. Will He come back and find us doing what he left us to do? Finding the lost and disciplining them.

Peace. Love. Go Forth and Evangelize.

Live According to His Rewards

12 Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done. 13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End. ~ Revelation 22:12–13NIV

He said that His reward is with Him, and He will give to each person according to what they have done. So, whether good or bad, there will be a reward for you according to your deeds. If you want a good reward, do good things. If you don’t really give a care, continue in your rebellious ways without Jesus.

It is a war they cannot win. Jesus will never be defeated. He is the Alpha, and He is the Omega. He is the first, and He is the last. He is the beginning, and He is the end. Nothing or no one will be able to stand against Him and the power of His word. Just by the blast of His breath, He slays the wicked. Do not get caught on the wrong side. Because no matter what the outcome is, Jesus’ reward will far outweigh the hardships. Nothing compares to it. Nothing compares to Jesus.

Build to Overcome

19 Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you. ~ Luke 10:19

Jesus gave His people authority over sickness, oppression, anxiety, depression, fear, panic attacks, and any other power of the enemy. We don’t have to suffer from the blows and the attacks of the enemy. Why? Because all the power of the enemy has been placed under the feet of Jesus and at His name, every knee will bow and tongue confess that He is LORD. This is the name He has given to us. This is the name we run into. This is the name we are saved by. This is the name of authority.

Therefore, if we are followers of Christ and a new creation in Him, then all we have to do is believe that His name will change all things for us. We don’t live like the world, hopeless and afraid. We live in faith, love, and hope. If we live our lives according to these three key blocks, making love our foundational block, then we will see the power of the name of Jesus once again on this earth.

Peace. Love. Go Forth and Build to Overcome.

Call On The LORD

Now there arose a new king over Egypt, who did not know Joseph. And he said to his people, “Behold, the people of Israel are too many and too mighty for us. 10 Come, let us deal shrewdly with them, lest they multiply, and, if war breaks out, they join our enemies and fight against us and escape from the land.” 11 Therefore they set taskmasters over them to afflict them with heavy burdens. They built for Pharaoh store cities, Pithom and Raamses. 12 But the more they were oppressed, the more they multiplied and the more they spread abroad. And the Egyptians were in dread of the people of Israel. 13 So they ruthlessly made the people of Israel work as slaves 14 and made their lives bitter with hard service, in mortar and brick, and in all kinds of work in the field. In all their work they ruthlessly made them work as slaves. 22 Then Pharaoh commanded all his people, “Every son that is born to the Hebrews you shall cast into the Nile, but you shall let every daughter live.” ~ Exodus 1:8–14, 22

The Spirit of Pharoah attaches itself to the ruling class, and it influences those in power. That is, the ones making the laws and the decisions for the rest of the country. In other words, the elites. It seeks to oppress all who are not of itself. Those who are not of that same spirit.

The problem is, however, those under them, under the elites, are all collateral damage. It’s a very selfish spirit that deals in fear. Matter of fact, fear is the main weapon it uses to control people and have its will done. It’s a “my will be done” spirit. How does it do this? By presenting itself as looking out for the best interest of those it attaches itself to.

Look, the Israelites are too numerous and too powerful. If war breaks out, they will side up with the enemy and fight against us, and we will be conquered. The best thing we can do for you, to keep you safe, is to kill all the baby boys.

Not only does this spirit deal in fear, but this spirit does not know Joseph. In other words, it does not acknowledge Joseph. It only knows or acknowledges the brothers of Joseph, and their prosperity does not escape its notice.

Now please understand that Joseph was not the Christ, but he is a “type of Christ.” And if so, then the brothers of Joseph would be us, the Christians. The Spirit of Pharaoh does not rise up until the brothers of Joseph, who are free to prosper and contribute to society, begin to grow and increase and prosper. Christians have been prospering in the US for many years. And sure enough, the more we prosper, the more the spirit of Pharaoh has taken charge and become more blatant in our society. The only way to overcome this spirit is to cry out to the LORD for deliverance. It wasn’t until the people cried out to the LORD that the people of Israel were sent a deliverer.

Are you seeing the coming oppression? Are you seeing the taskmasters being set up against us? Don’t wait until we’re completely enslaved to cry out to God. Cry out to God now. Call on His name for mercy and deliverance so that He might remember His people and save us before the coming oppression.

Peace. Love. Go Forth and Call On The LORD.

Flee Sin

Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God. ~ 1 Corinthians 6:9-11

Paul said the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God. Then he made a list of offenses that were separated by the word “neither.” Did you notice that? I believe by inserting the word “neither,” he was making a distinction between the wicked and someone else. So why did he make a distinction? What exactly did he mean by that?

I believe when he referred to the wicked, it was those who openly and outrightly rejected Jesus, so to be sure, he said not only those who will not enter in but those who may believe, who may call them Christians, who break down the church door every Sunday. In other words, those who disguise themselves as sheep yet still indulge in then he listed a string of offenses, including Sexual immorality, Idolaters, Adulterers, Male prostitutes, Homosexual offenders, Thieves, Greedy, Drunkards, Slanderers, and Swindlers.

And then there are those who claim holiness and love for God yet throw their lot in with those who support, celebrate, and encourage this kind of wickedness against God. Let me suggest something to you, if you support it, vote for it, or deny it when you know it is going on, you are a part of it, and you are just as guilty. According to Scripture, Christians are not even to eat with those who say they are Christians, yet willfully do all these disgraces against God. They even support the shedding of innocent blood, something that God hates totally and will swiftly bring His judgment.

Everything you do in this life will have a consequence in the next. Whether the consequence is good or bad will be determined by your actions. Don’t let something that seems important now keep you from an eternity of peace and joy with your Creator because, in eternity, it won’t matter.

Peace. Love. Go Forth and Flee Sin.

Choose Freedom Over Slavery

38 Pilate said to Him, “What is truth?” After he had said this, he went back outside to the Jews and told them, “I find no guilt in Him.” ~ John 18:38

Pilate was confused about the meaning of Truth, at least knowing how to recognize it. He lived in a time when the pagan gods were worshipped as truth. Their world was centered around religion, but they were still bound up in their sins. Today, we are in the same dilemma as Pilate. We’re living in a society where we’re constantly trying to get to the bottom of Pilate’s question, what is Truth?

Today’s society is hard-pressed against answering this question. We no longer seek Truth, but instead, we now only want our own truth. Jesus said He is the Truth. Jesus said that the Truth will set us free. Right now, we no longer seek the Truth because we no longer want to be free. In our society, we’ve normalized slavery. Slavery to darkness. Slavery to lies. Slavery to sin. Why? Because in the darkness, we don’t have to change. We don’t have to accept that we are flawed and we need a Savior.

This is how the enemy keeps us bound up in chains. This is how the enemy keeps us from the freedom of Jesus. The enemy convinces us that our chains are actually freedom, and our freedom is actually chains. The only way to overcome these lies is to step out of the darkness into the light that is Christ Jesus. The only way to do this is to accept the one and only Truth. And that Truth is the LORD Jesus Christ.

Peace. Love. Go Forth and Choose Freedom Over Slavery.

Join The Good Fight

The Lord says to my Lord: “Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies your footstool.” ~ Psalms 110:1

The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle. He has never lost one battle, and He has never been defeated in war. Jesus gave His life in battle, yes, but it was in order to save us, His brothers and sisters. He hung on the cross of Calvary on that dark and dreadful day when He became the sacrifice for our sins. It was the only way.

But, by giving His life, He actually won the war. Now He is seated at the right hand of power. Having won the war for our souls, Jesus sat down at the right hand of the Father, and now He is recruiting soldiers to fight this great spiritual war. He’s looking for men and women like you and like me, who will stand and fight, and after doing all to stand, that we therefore stand. When we conquer, we will be veterans as Christ is a veteran, and as a reward, we will live with God in eternity forever and ever. He will wipe every tear from our eyes, and pain will be no more.

Peace. Love. Go Forth and Join The Good Fight.
