The Nephilim are one of the most discussed beings in the Bible. They almost seem to appear out of nowhere, causing much speculation on their origins from both believers and nonbelievers. Though the popular belief is that the Nephilim were the offspring of angels and women, the Bible describes a much different origin. The Nephilim were on the earth in those days and after those days. They were on the earth because they originally came from under the earth. If they came from under the earth, how did they get on the earth? Join ArieRashelle as she searches through Scripture in her video, The Nephilim Pt. 4: On The Earth Before and After The Flood.
1When man began to multiply on the face of the land and daughters were born to them, 2 the sons of God saw that the daughters of man were attractive. And they took as their wives any they chose. 3 Then the Lord said, “My Spirit shall not abide in man forever, for he is flesh: his days shall be 120 years.” 4 The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of man and they bore children to them. These were the mighty men who were of old, the men of renown.
Genesis 6:1-4
The Nephilim On The Earth After The Flood
30 But Caleb quieted the people before Moses and said, “Let us go up at once and occupy it, for we are well able to overcome it.” 31 Then the men who had gone up with him said, “We are not able to go up against the people, for they are stronger than we are.” 32 So they brought to the people of Israel a bad report of the land that they had spied out, saying, “The land, through which we have gone to spy it out, is a land that devours its inhabitants, and all the people that we saw in it are of great height. 33 And there we saw the Nephilim (the sons of Anak, who come from the Nephilim), and we seemed to ourselves like grasshoppers, and so we seemed to them.”
The Nephilim are a mysterious group of giant beings in Scripture. They seem to just appear on the scene out of nowhere. Because of this, where they came from is often debated and argued throughout the Church and even in the world. In our previous videos, we explained that the belief that the Nephilim (the giants) came from the Sons of God (angels) and the daughters of men (human women) procreating together isn’t in the Bible. If giants didn’t come from angels and human women, then where did the Nephilim come from? Join Reverend Kenny Yates as he searches through Scripture to find where the Nephilim (the giants) came from in his video, The Nephilim Pt. 3: The Origin of The Nephilim.

Genesis 6:1-4
25 At the end of forty days they returned from spying out the land. 26 And they came to Moses and Aaron and to all the congregation of the people of Israel in the wilderness of Paran, at Kadesh. They brought back word to them and to all the congregation, and showed them the fruit of the land. 27 And they told him, “We came to the land to which you sent us. It flows with milk and honey, and this is its fruit. 28 However, the people who dwell in the land are strong, and the cities are fortified and very large. And besides, we saw the descendants of Anak there. 29 The Amalekites dwell in the land of the Negeb. The Hittites, the Jebusites, and the Amorites dwell in the hill country. And the Canaanites dwell by the sea, and along the Jordan.” 30 But Caleb quieted the people before Moses and said, “Let us go up at once and occupy it, for we are well able to overcome it.” 31 Then the men who had gone up with him said, “We are not able to go up against the people, for they are stronger than we are.” 32 So they brought to the people of Israel a bad report of the land that they had spied out, saying, “The land, through which we have gone to spy it out, is a land that devours its inhabitants, and all the people that we saw in it are of great height. 33 And there we saw the Nephilim (the sons of Anak, who come from the Nephilim), and we seemed to ourselves like grasshoppers, and so we seemed to them.”
The very first sin ever committed was by Adam and Eve. This topic has become the center of popular debate within the Church. Many no longer believe that the sin of Adam and Eve was as simple as eating from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. There are three main belief systems when it comes to what sin Adam and Eve actually committed. The mainstream belief is that Adam and Eve ate from the forbidden Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. The other two beliefs are that Adam and Eve either had sex with the serpent or with each other. Did Adam and Eve have sex with the Serpent, or did they commit the sin of incest because they were siblings? What Was Adam and Eve’s Sin In The Garden of Eden?
Three Theories About The Sin of Adam and Eve in The Garden of Eden
Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit from The Tree of The Knowledge of Good and Evil.
Adam and Eve slept with the serpent.
Adam and Eve slept with each other and sinned because they were siblings.
1 Now the serpent was more crafty than any other beast of the field that the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God actually say, ‘You shall not eat of any tree in the garden’?” 2 And the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat of the fruit of the trees in the garden, 3 but God said, ‘You shall not eat of the fruit of the tree that is in the midst of the garden, neither shall you touch it, lest you die.’” 4 But the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die. 5 For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” 6 So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was to be desired to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate, and she also gave some to her husband who was with her, and he ate. 7 Then the eyes of both were opened, and they knew that they were naked. And they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves loincloths. 8 And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden. 9 But the Lord God called to the man and said to him, “Where are you?” 10 And he said, “I heard the sound of you in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked, and I hid myself.” 11 He said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten of the tree of which I commanded you not to eat?” 12 The man said, “The woman whom you gave to be with me, she gave me fruit of the tree, and I ate.” 13 Then the Lord God said to the woman, “What is this that you have done?” The woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.”
The Rapture of the Church is one of the most debated topics in today’s Church. There are three main belief systems when it comes to the Rapture, all centering around The Great Tribulation: Pre-Trib, Mid-Trib, and Post-Trib. We, here at HoldToHope, hold to the belief that the majority of the Church has many misconceptions about the Rapture. Join ArieRashelle as she searches through Scripture to Biblically address these misconceptions in her video, 5 Common Misconceptions About The Rapture.

The Rapture
5 Common Misconceptions About The Rapture
The First Common Misconception Is The Timing of The Rapture
1Now concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered together to Him, we ask you, brothers, 2 not to be quickly shaken in mind or alarmed, either by a spirit or a spoken word, or a letter seeming to be from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come. 3 Let no one deceive you in any way. For that day will not come, unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, 4 who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God. 5 Do you not remember that when I was still with you I told you these things? 6 And you know what is restraining him now so that he may be revealed in his time. 7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work. Only He who now restrains it will do so until He is out of the way. 8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will kill with the breath of His mouth and bring to nothing by the appearance of His coming.
2 Thessalonians 2:1-8
The Second Common Misconception Is That There Is The Secret Rapture
29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 30 Then will appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And He will send out His angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
Matthew 24:29-31
The Third Common Misconception Is That The Rapture Will Take Place Before The Seven Trumpets of Revelation
51 Behold! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed. 53 For this perishable body must put on the imperishable, and this mortal body must put on immortality.
1 Corinthians 15:51-53
The Fourth Common Misconception Is That There Will Be A Second Rapture After The Great Tribulation
12 When He opened the sixth seal, I looked, and behold, there was a great earthquake, and the sun became black as sackcloth, the full moon became like blood, 13 and the stars of the sky fell to the earth as the fig tree sheds its winter fruit when shaken by a gale. 14 The sky vanished like a scroll that is being rolled up, and every mountain and island was removed from its place. 15 Then the kings of the earth and the great ones and the generals and the rich and the powerful, and everyone, slave and free, hid themselves in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains, 16 calling to the mountains and rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who is seated on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb, 17 for the great day of their wrath has come, and who can stand?”
Revelation 6:12-17
The Fifth Common Misconception Is That The Rapture Has Nothing To Do With The Rebuilding of The Third Temple
15 So when you see the abomination of desolation spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand),16 then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. 17 Let the one who is on the housetop not go down to take what is in his house, 18 and let the one who is in the field not turn back to take his cloak. 19 And alas for women who are pregnant and for those who are nursing infants in those days! 20 Pray that your flight may not be in winter or on a Sabbath. 21 For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, and never will be. 22 And if those days had not been cut short, no human being would be saved. But for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short.23 Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There he is!’ do not believe it. 24 For false christs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect. 25 See, I have told you beforehand. 26 So, if they say to you, ‘Look, he is in the wilderness,’ do not go out. If they say, ‘Look, he is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. 27 For as the lightning comes from the east and shines as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.28 Wherever the corpse is, there the vultures will gather.
Over the last few decades, many churches and Christians have spoken out against the Christmas holiday. They claim that Christmas isn’t a Christian religion, but, like Halloween, is actually rooted in Paganism and was an attempt by the Church to celebrate a Pagan holiday by making it about the birth of Christ. They further explain that Jesus Christ wasn’t even born on December 25th, so we, as Christians, have no reason to celebrate this pagan holiday. They explain that Christmas is rooted in Mithraism, the cult of Tammuz, and Saturnalia, but is this true? Join ArieRashelle as she searches through Scripture and history for the truth behind the origins of Christmas in her video, Should Christians Celebrate Christmas?
15 What accord has Christ with Belial? Or what portion does a believer share with an unbeliever? 16 What agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; as God said, “I will make my dwelling among them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 17 Therefore go out from their midst, and be separate from them, says the Lord, and touch no unclean thing; then I will welcome you, 18 and I will be a father to you, and you shall be sons and daughters to me, says the Lord Almighty.”
There are ten commandments that God gave the Israelites from Mount Sinai as the beginning of The Law. The second commandment condemns the carving of images of anything in Heaven, on earth, or in the sea under the earth. What exactly does that mean? Join ArieRashelle as she searches through Scripture to find the answer in her video, What Is A Graven Image?
4 You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. 5 You shall not bow down to them or serve them, for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and the fourth generation of those who hate me, 6 but showing steadfast love to thousands of those who love me and keep my commandments.
Exodus 20:4-6
15 Therefore watch yourselves very carefully. Since you saw no form on the day that the Lord spoke to you at Horeb out of the midst of the fire, 16 beware lest you act corruptly by making a carved image for yourselves, in the form of any figure, the likeness of male or female, 17 the likeness of any animal that is on the earth, the likeness of any winged bird that flies in the air, 18 the likeness of anything that creeps on the ground, the likeness of any fish that is in the water under the earth. 19 And beware lest you raise your eyes to heaven, and when you see the sun and the moon and the stars, all the host of heaven, you be drawn away and bow down to them and serve them, things that the Lord your God has allotted to all the peoples under the whole heaven. 20 But the Lord has taken you and brought you out of the iron furnace, out of Egypt, to be a people of his own inheritance, as you are this day.
The people of Israel had just left Egypt after 400 years of slavery. They witnessed God work powerful signs through Moses and Aaron. God Himself went before them and behind them, as they traveled from Egypt into the wilderness. Nevertheless, the people of Israel fell into idolatry almost immediately after; why? Join ArieRashelle as she searches through Scripture for the answer to this question and not on her video, Why Did The People of Israel Make A Golden Calf In The Wilderness?
Why Did The People of Israel Make A Golden Calf In The Wilderness?
1When the people saw that Moses delayed to come down from the mountain, the people gathered themselves together to Aaron and said to him, “Up, make us gods who shall go before us. As for this Moses, the man who brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we do not know what has become of him.” 2 So Aaron said to them, “Take off the rings of gold that are in the ears of your wives, your sons, and your daughters, and bring them to me.” 3 So all the people took off the rings of gold that were in their ears and brought them to Aaron. 4 And he received the gold from their hand and fashioned it with a graving tool and made a golden calf. And they said, “These are your gods, O Israel, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt!” 5 When Aaron saw this, he built an altar before it. And Aaron made a proclamation and said, “Tomorrow shall be a feast to the Lord.” 6 And they rose up early the next day and offered burnt offerings and brought peace offerings. And the people sat down to eat and drink and rose up to play. 7 And the Lord said to Moses, “Go down, for your people, whom you brought up out of the land of Egypt, have corrupted themselves. 8 They have turned aside quickly out of the way that I commanded them. They have made for themselves a golden calf and have worshiped it and sacrificed to it and said, ‘These are your gods, O Israel, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt!’” 9 And the Lord said to Moses, “I have seen this people, and behold, it is a stiff-necked people. 10 Now therefore let me alone, that my wrath may burn hot against them and I may consume them, in order that I may make a great nation of you.” 11 But Moses implored the Lord his God and said, “O Lord, why does your wrath burn hot against your people, whom you have brought out of the land of Egypt with great power and with a mighty hand? 12 Why should the Egyptians say, ‘With evil intent did he bring them out, to kill them in the mountains and to consume them from the face of the earth’? Turn from your burning anger and relent from this disaster against your people. 13 Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, your servants, to whom you swore by your own self, and said to them, ‘I will multiply your offspring as the stars of heaven, and all this land that I have promised I will give to your offspring, and they shall inherit it forever.’” 14 And the Lord relented from the disaster that he had spoken of bringing on his people. 15 Then Moses turned and went down from the mountain with the two tablets of the testimony in his hand, tablets that were written on both sides; on the front and on the back they were written. 16 The tablets were the work of God, and the writing was the writing of God, engraved on the tablets.
Today, those of us blessed to live in America enjoy the freedoms that many other nations don’t. Those freedoms weren’t cheap. They were paid with the blood, sweat, and tears of countless men and women. These freedoms that we enjoy today, such as freedom of religion and speech, weren’t free. They had to be bought at a high price. Join Reverend Kenny Yates as he shares the somber story of a veteran who gave up his freedoms for ours in his video, Why Christians Should Celebrate Veterans Day: Ernest Albert “Andy” Andrews Jr.
Why Christians Should Celebrate Veterans Day
Ernest Albert “Andy” Andrews Jr.
Andy is one of millions of young men who gave up their prime years to fight for this country. He was drafted right out of High School and sent overseas to fight a war he didn’t start. He watched his friends get killed in front of him, as well as witnessed countless other soldiers die all around him. He did all of this for one reason: freedom.
Freedom is never free. It always costs an extremely high price; usually, it costs the life of another.
12 This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. 13 Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.
John 15:12-13
We, Christians, should all celebrate Veterans Day and thank God for the freedoms we have today because of their sacrifice.
May God bless each and every veteran. Thank you for your service.

In the Garden of Eden, a mysterious being tempts Eve with fruit from the forbidden tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. There’s a bit of a debate surrounding the identity of this being who is simply called the serpent. So, who was the serpent? Was the serpent paid by Satan, or was it actually Satan? Or was the serpent some kind of lesser human?
