The Four Beasts of Daniel 7: The Second Beast

Daniel’s vision of Daniel 7 was filled with four horrifying beasts. We discussed that the first beast is Satan and not a kingdom or nation in our first two videos. But who is the second beast that is like a bear? Join ArieRashelle as she searches through Scripture to find the right answer to this question in our video The Four Beasts of Daniel 7: The Second Beast.

Summary of The Second Beast of Daniel 7

The second beast of Daniel 7 has four descriptions in all:

    1. A bear
    2. Raised up on one side
    3. Three ribs in its mouth
    4. Told ‘Devour much flesh’

As we stated in the video, the bear represents the fierceness and aggression of a she-bear. It is only raised up on one side because the second beast has limited power. It has three ribs in its mouth because it tramples on the Church, but it does not destroy it. Lastly, it is told to ‘devour much flesh’ because it slaughters many human beings, especially those in the Church.

How can we be sure that the many of the Church will die during this time?

When He opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God and for the witness they had borne. 10 They cried out with a loud voice, “O Sovereign Lord, holy and true, how long before you will judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?” 11 Then they were each given a white robe and told to rest a little longer, until the number of their fellow servants and their brothers should be complete, who were to be killed as they themselves had been.

Revelation 6:9-11

Words of Encouragement for the time of the second beast of Daniel 7

Don’t lose heart, don’t be distraught. As we stated in our videos, we overcome Satan and all of his kingdom by the Blood of the Lamb and The Word of our Testimony. We overcome because Jesus has already overcome the world. Don’t be discouraged, be encouraged by the spirit of God. Always remember:

We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; 10 always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our bodies.

The First Beast of Daniel 7

Description of the First Beast of Daniel 7

The first was like a lion and had eagles’ wings. Then as I looked its wings were plucked off, and it was lifted up from the ground and made to stand on two feet like a man, and the mind of a man was given to it.

Daniel 7:4

The First Beast Part One Description

Satan is the first Beast of Daniel 7. Satan is described as having a lion’s body because of his spiritual authority as a Glorious One.

Yet in like manner these people also, relying on their dreams, defile the flesh, reject authority, and blaspheme the glorious ones. But when the archangel Michael, contending with the devil, was disputing about the body of Moses, he did not presume to pronounce a blasphemous judgment, but said, “The Lord rebuke you.”

Jude 1:8-9

He is described as having eagles’ wings because of his right to enter the presence of God, but that was stripped away when he was thrown from Heaven to earth, which is why his eagles’ wings were plucked off.

Who Is Abaddon?

The Angel of The Bottomless Pit

1 And the fifth angel blew his trumpet, and I saw a star fallen from heaven to earth, and he was given the key to the shaft of the bottomless pit. He opened the shaft of the bottomless pit, and from the shaft rose smoke like the smoke of a great furnace, and the sun and the air were darkened with the smoke from the shaft. Then from the smoke came locusts on the earth, and they were given power like the power of scorpions of the earth.
They were told not to harm the grass of the earth or any green plant or any tree, but only those people who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads. They were allowed to torment them for five months, but not to kill them, and their torment was like the torment of a scorpion when it stings someone. And in those days people will seek death and will not find it. They will long to die, but death will flee from them.
In appearance the locusts were like horses prepared for battle: on their heads were what looked like crowns of gold; their faces were like human faces, their hair like women’s hair, and their teeth like lions’ teeth; they had breastplates like breastplates of iron, and the noise of their wings was like the noise of many chariots with horses rushing into battle. 10 They have tails and stings like scorpions, and their power to hurt people for five months is in their tails.

11 They have as king over them the angel of the bottomless pit. His name in Hebrew is Abaddon, and in Greek he is called Apollyon.
12 The first woe has passed; behold, two woes are still to come.

The Great Tribulation: Does The Church Go Through It?

The Great Tribulation

The world is rampantly pushing God out of their homes, cities, countries, and even churches. Is it possible that the world is preparing for the end, and if it is the end, could it be The Great Tribulation? And if so, what if the Church has to endure the tribulation? Does Scripture tell us when the rapture will take place compared to The Tribulation? And if the Church has to go through it, is there a way to overcome the great tribulation? The Great Tribulation: Does The Church Go Through It?

From the days of Paul, men and women were looking forward to the rapture. Some even thought that they had missed it during the time of Paul and the other apostles. As time goes by, the world runs farther and farther away from God and His ways. We often hear that Tribulation is coming, but when exactly? Paul prophecies of the way the world will turn during the end times in his second letter to Timothy.

1 But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. 2 For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, 4 treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people.

2 Timothy 3:1-5

The Rapture and The Great Tribulation

Overcoming The Great Tribulation

33 I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.

John 16:33

21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

The Rapture

Rapture from Tribulation

There is an ongoing debate in the Church today that dates back 2000 years, the Rapture. The debate isn’t whether or not the Rapture will happen; most agree there is a rapture. The debate is on when the Rapture will happen. There are three main theories: Pre-Tribulation, Mid-Tribulation, and Post-Tribulation. But what does the Scripture say? What does the Bible say about The Rapture? Are there verses that have been overlooked that are about the Rapture? Can we truly ever know when the Rapture will take place? Join ArieRashelle as she searches Scripture to find the true timing of The Rapture.

The Most Overlooked Verses on The Rapture

Out of The Mouth of The Prophets

25 He shall speak words against the Most High, and shall wear out the saints of the Most High, and shall think to change the times and the law; and they shall be given into his hand for a time, times, and half a time. 26 But the court shall sit in judgment, and his dominion shall be taken away, to be consumed and destroyed to the end. 27 And the kingdom and the dominion and the greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven shall be given to the people of the saints of the Most High; his kingdom shall be an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him.’

Daniel 7:25-27

Out of The Mouth of Jesus

15 So when you see the abomination of desolation spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand), 16 then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. 17 Let the one who is on the housetop not go down to take what is in his house, 18 and let the one who is in the field not turn back to take his cloak.

19 And alas for women who are pregnant and for those who are nursing infants in those days! 20 Pray that your flight may not be in winter or on a Sabbath. 21 For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, and never will be. 22 And if those days had not been cut short, no human being would be saved. But for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short…

27 For as the lightning comes from the east and shines as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. 28 Wherever the corpse is, there the vultures will gather.

29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 30 Then will appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And He will send out His angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other (the rapture).

Matthew 24:15-22, 29-31

Out of The Mouth of Paul

1 Now concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered together to Him (the rapture), we ask you, brothers, not to be quickly shaken in mind or alarmed, either by a spirit or a spoken word, or a letter seeming to be from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come. Let no one deceive you in any way. For that day will not come, unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God.

And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will kill with the breath of His mouth and bring to nothing by the appearance of His coming.

2 Thessalonians 2:1-4, 8

Now’s The Time To Prepare For The Rapture

As we read in these overlooked verses on the Rapture, there is no mid-tribulation or pre-tribulation rapture. There is only the post-tribulation rapture. The Great Tribulation is coming, but don’t be afraid. Don’t be discouraged because we are not alone. God has equipped us with weapons not of this world but of His that can tear down strongholds, defend every fiery dart of the evil one, protect our mind and our hearts, and so much more. We are not alone, for God is within us. We are the Temple of God Almighty. Greater is He that is in us, that He that is in the world. We are overcomers through Christ Jesus, our God, and our Savior.

The Beast Out of The Earth

We’ve all heard of the Beast of Revelation, but did you know Revelation speaks of multiple beasts? For instance, Revelation 13 speaks of the Beast Out of the Sea and the Beast Out of the Earth. The second beast of Revelation 13 is also known as the False Prophet. The False Prophet is often an overlooked character of the End Times. Is he just an ambiguous person with no big role? or is there more to him? Join ArieRashelle as she dissects Revelation 13 to find out who exactly the False Prophet is in our video, The Beast Out of The Earth.

The Beast Out of The Earth

The False Prophet

The Beast Out of The Earth is better known as the False Prophet. He rises to authority after the Beast Out of The Sea. The False Prophet is referred to as the False Prophet because he leads the whole world astray. He is the ultimate wolf in sheep clothing. His deception is so great that the whole world worships The Beast.

If Jesus were to come back and live amongst us, would you recognize Him? What does this have to do with the False Prophet? If you can’t recognize who Jesus is, then you will believe that anyone who preaches a different Christ. It won’t be as blatant as we think it will be, instead, it will be subtle. It’ll tickle our ears. This new Christ that the False Prophet describes will make us feel good. Why? Because he will call evil good and good evil.

This means that what was once sin will no longer be called sin. This is why most people fall into this trap. They will give into the lies of the False Prophet because they want to be happy. So, stay alert. Watch and pray so that when the day comes for the False Prophet and the Beast to rise to power, you will be able to see through their disguise.

14 And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.

2 Corinthians 11:14

How to Spot the False Prophet/The Beast Out of the Earth

Know your Shepherd

Study your Bible. Learn who Jesus is. Learn who you are in Jesus. Seek wisdom from God. Continue to fight for righteousness. Don’t grow weary of doing good, in due time you will be rewarded. Don’t get caught up in tradition or religion, instead seek a real relationship with God so that you know His voice.

1 Truly, truly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door but climbs in by another way, that man is a thief and a robber. But He who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. To Him the gatekeeper opens. The sheep hear His voice, and He calls His own sheep by name and leads them out. When He has brought out all His own, He goes before them, and the sheep follow Him, for they know His voice. A stranger they will not follow, but they will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers.

The Beast Out of the Sea

The Beast vs. The Man of Lawlessness

In recent years, the Church has come to call the Man of Lawlessness the antichrist, but this isn’t actually accurate. The antichrist isn’t a person; it’s a spirit like the spirit of fear, python, etc. The Spirit of Antichrist is a spirit that denies that Jesus is LORD. The Man of Lawlessness (not the antichrist) and The Beast Out of the Sea are two different beings as well. The Beast comes before the Man of Lawlessness.

The Beast Out of the Sea

1 And I saw a beast rising out of the sea, with ten horns and seven heads, with ten diadems on its horns and blasphemous names on its heads. And the beast that I saw was like a leopard; its feet were like a bear’s, and its mouth was like a lion’s mouth. And to it the dragon gave his power and his throne and great authority. One of its heads seemed to have a mortal wound, but its mortal wound was healed, and the whole earth marveled as they followed the beast. And they worshiped the dragon, for he had given his authority to the beast, and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast, and who can fight against it?”

And the beast was given a mouth uttering haughty and blasphemous words, and it was allowed to exercise authority for forty-two months. It opened its mouth to utter blasphemies against God, blaspheming his name and his dwelling, that is, those who dwell in heaven. Also it was allowed to make war on the saints and to conquer them. And authority was given it over every tribe and people and language and nation, and all who dwell on earth will worship it, everyone whose name has not been written before the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who was slain.

Revelation 13:1-8

The Man of Lawlessness

1 Now concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered together to Him, we ask you, brothers, not to be quickly shaken in mind or alarmed, either by a spirit or a spoken word, or a letter seeming to be from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come. Do you not remember that when I was still with you I told you these things?

And you know what is restraining him now so that he may be revealed in his time. For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work. Only He who now restrains it will do so until He is out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will kill with the breath of His mouth and bring to nothing by the appearance of His coming.

The coming of the lawless one is by the activity of Satan with all power and false signs and wonders, 10 and with all wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. 11 Therefore God sends them a strong delusion, so that they may believe what is false, 12 in order that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

2 Thessalonians 2:1-11

While both the Beast and the Man of Lawlessness come to their reign by the activity of Satan, they aren’t the same person. One is given their thrown and authority and power all from Satan, while the other only comes because of the activity of Satan.

The False Prophet

11 Then I saw another beast rising out of the earth. It had two horns like a lamb and it spoke like a dragon. 12 It exercises all the authority of the first beast in its presence, and makes the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast, whose mortal wound was healed. 13 It performs great signs, even making fire come down from heaven to earth in front of people, 14 and by the signs that it is allowed to work in the presence of the beast it deceives those who dwell on earth, telling them to make an image for the beast that was wounded by the sword and yet lived. 15 And it was allowed to give breath to the image of the beast, so that the image of the beast might even speak and might cause those who would not worship the image of the beast to be slain.

The Antichrist

Contrary to popular belief, the word antichrist can’t be found anywhere in the book of Revelation. So where is antichrist found in the bible? It’s found five times in four verses in 1 and 2 John. John actually says that the coming of antichrist is a sign of the end.

18 Children, it is the last hour, and as you have heard that antichrist is coming, so now many antichrists have come. Therefore we know that it is the last hour. 19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us. But they went out, that it might become plain that they all are not of us. 20 But you have been anointed by the Holy One, and you all have knowledge.

21 I write to you, not because you do not know the truth, but because you know it, and because no lie is of the truth. 22 Who is the liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, he who denies the Father and the Son. 23 No one who denies the Son has the Father. Whoever confesses the Son has the Father also. 24 Let what you heard from the beginning abide in you. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, then you too will abide in the Son and in the Father.
