We Are Called To Freedom

13 For you were called to freedom, brethren; only do not turn your freedom into an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. ~ Galatians 5:13NASB1995

We were all called to freedom in Christ. Meaning we are no longer bound by the chains of sin. Because Jesus Christ paid the ultimate price for us when He hung on the tree in order to pay our debts. But did you know He also wants us to be physically free also?

Your physical freedom is also important to Jesus. That is quite evident when we consider the amount of moral freedom He has placed at our disposal. But just as there are those who sneak into the Church to spy on our spiritual freedom, there are those who secretly hate our physical freedom, and their desire is to place chains of tyranny on each one of us.

Freedom is never free. Someone, or someones, has to pay the price for it. Jesus was the only One that was able to pay the price for our sins and break the chains of sin and death and offer us life and spiritual freedom. Our founding fathers and their families, for the love of the country, paid the ultimate price to give us physical freedom through the providence of Almighty God. And it is the brave men and women who, because of that same love, have fought, and many of them have given their lives to keep it.

Now it’s up to us to continue in that God-given love for God and country to continue to protect what cost others so much to give us and protect for us. Because once it’s gone, it’s gone. Three saying is true, “You don’t know what you got until it’s gone.”

Don’t let that be the lament of you and your children. Fight to keep what you have. Be vigilant. Be prayerful. And watch. Love God and love country. God bless you, and God bless America!

Pray Freedom Will Ring

17 For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. ~ 2 Corinthians 3:17NLT

Today is Independence Day, a day when we come together as a nation of patriots to celebrate our freedom. Freedom that was purchased for us by men who gave everything up for the better good of all the people. Today is the day that we should truly be patriots of this beautiful country.

We Christians should be the biggest patriots of all. Why? Many reasons. The prophets have prophesied that tribulation is coming. Never has tribulation come on a people that didn’t bring it on themselves. When Sennacherib came against Israel, it was because of their idolatry. When Nebuchadnezzar came against Judah, it was because of their idolatry. When the love of many grows cold, the beginning of the end will come upon us as well.

Today, the Church is weak. It has no spiritual discernment nor power, or authority. It’s lukewarm and filled with sin. I heard a quote once that said, “Our actions define who we are; what we love will define who we become.” Our actions are no longer focused on God. Our love is no longer for the things of God. A time of great Tribulation is coming upon the Church, and we don’t even believe that we will go through it because God loves us too much to allow us to go through any hardship, yet every prophet was murdered. The early Church was persecuted and executed. The underground Church today is persecuted and executed. The great Apostle Paul warns us that Jesus will not return for His people until the Great Tribulation has come and the Man of Lawlessness is revealed. Jesus Himself told us that He would not return until the end of the Great Tribulation. This tribulation is coming, not because of God’s wrath, but because of the Church refusing to stand for righteousness.

We currently have freedom. The majority of us were born and raised in a country that was built on Christian values, so we take the freedoms that come with that for granted. It’s difficult for us to imagine a world where we can’t pray in public before we eat, can’t go to church on Sundays, can’t read our Bibles, can’t talk about Jesus in public without the fear of being arrested and sentenced to death. But a time is coming when there won’t be freedom anymore. When freedom will no longer ring. When freedom will no longer be something we can take for granted because it will be taken from us.

A patriot is one who loves his or her country. A Christian patriot is one who loves his or her country by praying for his or her country. One who doesn’t take those freedoms for granted. Those freedoms were purchased for us by someone else. We pray for the leadership so that it might go well with us. We pray that Godly men and women will stand up and make a change in government. Light can’t come from darkness. Light can only come from the Light of the World. Therefore, pray that Christian Patriots would come forth to make a change in our society and that the LORD might intervene on our behalf and push back that quickly coming flood of Tribulation.

Peace. Love. Go Forth and Pray Freedom Will Ring.

Open Your Spiritual Eyes

33 Once when He was in the synagogue, a man possessed by a demon—an evil spirit—cried out, shouting, 34 “Go away! Why are you interfering with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are—the Holy One of God!” ~ Luke 4:33-34 NLT

There was never a time when Jesus casted out a demon or unclean spirit, and the unclean spirit didn’t recognize Him. As soon as they saw Him, they knew who He was. Not only did they recognize Him, they could do nothing but proclaim who He was. They saw into the spiritual because though they didn’t follow the LORD, they wholeheartedly believed in who He was. They could see it. Their spiritual eyes were wide open.

Today, the spiritual eyes of the Church are mostly shut. I didn’t realize that so many self-proclaiming Christians argued over right and wrong that are plainly and blatantly pointed out in Scripture, let alone argued about the Divinity of Jesus, calling it Catholic propaganda. The spiritual eyes of the Church are closing shut. We’re falling into a deep spiritual sleep that will only end with our own downfall and demise.

LORD God, please awaken Your Church, starting with me. Open my spiritual eyes that I might see clearly. That I might accurately discern between Truth and Error. That I might be the change I want to see in the world by being a light in this dark world. Help me to see You for who You are and not for what I or society or culture or deceived men and women see You for. Help me to follow You with all that is within me. In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen.

Strengthen The Spirit

41 When He returned to them the third time, He said, “Go ahead and sleep. Have your rest. But no—the time has come. The Son of Man is betrayed into the hands of sinners. 42 Up, let’s be going. Look, my betrayer is here!” ~ Mark 14:41-42NLT

The last night of Jesus’ life was very stressful for Him. He was overwhelmed with the immense pressure laid upon Him to the point that His sweat became like drops of blood. Jesus, being a man as He set off His Godliness to take on our mortal form, asked His disciples to pray with Him. He needed help praying. Why? Because a three-strand cord is not easily broken. One may put a thousand to flight, but two may put ten thousand to flight.

But His disciples were overcome with sleep and couldn’t keep their eyes open. Jesus’ response was very different than the meme that tries to paint God as happy we fall asleep while praying because it’s like falling asleep in your grandfather’s arms.

God isn’t our grandfather. He’s our Heavenly Father. And just as our earthly fathers expect more out of us than our grandfathers, so does God expect more out of us. Jesus asked if they couldn’t pray with Him for one hour. That was the bare minimum Jesus was asking for, just one hour. When they fell asleep, Jesus said it was because their flesh was weak. This is why Paul puts a lot of emphasis on putting your flesh into subjection and building up your spirit man.

The last time Jesus went to the disciples, He left them sleeping until the hour of trial had come. He didn’t wake them up to pray with Him. This is a very frightening thought when we put it into perspective. When we pray, and we fall asleep, God wakes us up. He tries to get our attention; sometimes, He even wakes us up at all hours of the morning trying to get us to pray, but if we refuse to stay awake. If we refuse to put our flesh in check, then God will leave us where we lie. He won’t wake us up to pray anymore. And in doing so, we will miss our opportunity to prepare for the coming trial that awaits us.

All of the disciples left Jesus when He was arrested after that. Peter denied Him before the rooster crowed that morning. They were unprepared for the coming tests and trials because of the lack of prayer. When God wakes you up, it’s not for no reason. God is waking you up to strengthen your don’t miss out on your spiritual workout.

Peace. Love. Go Forth and Strengthen The Spirit.

Do You Have Ears To Hear?

1 Again He began to teach beside the sea. And a very large crowd gathered about Him, so that He got into a boat and sat in it on the sea, and the whole crowd was beside the sea on the land. And He was teaching them many things in parables, and in His teaching He said to them: “Listen! Behold, a sower went out to sow.” ~ Mark 4:1-3

So, when this huge crowd had gathered, Jesus opened up His mouth and began teaching the crowd about faith, but He didn’t just say it plainly, because it was not for everyone. How do I know? Well, just look at what Jesus says after He finishes telling the parable:

8b …As He said these things, He called out, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear.”

Luke 8:8b

This is a strange thing to say because I would assume that everyone there that day had ears that could hear. If not, they would come and receive healing. So, what this tells me is that it is not for everyone, but only for The Diligent Seekers. The casual bystander won’t profit from those words. Why do I say that? Just take a listen to what Jesus said when they came to Him after the crowd had left and asked Him about the parable:

10 And when He was alone, those around Him with the twelve asked Him about the parables. 11 And He said to them, “To you has been given the secret of the kingdom of God, but for those outside everything is in parables, 12 so that ‘they may indeed see but not perceive, and may indeed hear but not understand, lest they should turn and be forgiven.’”

Mark 4:10-12

Did you notice what Mark adds in there? Those around Him with the twelve. Mark makes a distinction between Jesus’ Apostles and Jesus’ other disciples. He wanted to make sure we understood that it was not just the twelve but also those around Jesus. Those who followed Him and hung on His every word. Those who were hungry for the Word of God. Those who desired to be fed. Those who study to show themselves approved. In other words, those who have ears to hear; The Diligent Seekers.

Those were the ones who would receive the secret of the kingdom of God. It’s all about [ὁ (ho) Pistis], The Faith! It is not those who hear only, because you can hear, but not actively listen and make the Word of God of no effect, but it is those who hear and put it into action who will prosper from this teaching.

Dear LORD, please give me ears to hear your Word that I might understand it and put it into action. That I might be a diligent seeker seeking You and Your kingdom. Help me to understand Your Words, for as Peter said, You alone hold Eternal Life. You alone can save my soul. You alone can redeem me from my suffering and bondage. Help me to receive Your Word in good soil within my soul so that it might take root and grow within me. So that it might sprout the fruit that brings me closer to You. In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen.

Do You Regard The LORD’s Anointed?

37 In the morning, when the wine had gone out of Nabal, his wife told him these things, and his heart died within him, and he became as a stone. 38 And about ten days later the Lord struck Nabal, and he died. ~ 1 Samuel 25:37-38

David was in the land of Carmel. It was a feast day, so he reached out to a rich man in the land with whom he and his men had interactions with the rich man’s shepherds. So, David sent some of his men to ask Nabal for anything he could spare, but Nabal had no regard for the LORD’s anointed. In fact, he even disrespected the LORD’s anointed saying,

“Who is David? Who is the son of Jesse? There are many servants these days who are breaking away from their masters. 11 Shall I take my bread and my water and my meat that I have killed for my shearers and give it to men who come from I do not know where?”

1 Samuel 25:10-11

Nabal had no regard for the LORD’s anointed, so David was going to take his men to attack, but Nabal’s wife pleaded with David. So, David steadied his hand, but the LORD took aim Himself when Nabal had sobered up to fully grasp and understand what was happening. The LORD came to fight on His anointed’s behalf. Nabal’s response and mistreatment of David, the LORD’s anointed, caused His heart to die within him, and he became like a stone. The LORD didn’t kill him just yet, though, God gave him 10 days. He gave him a set amount of days to repent, or at the very least, have a repentive heart. But when he didn’t, the LORD struck him down.

Today, many of our attitudes and actions have caused our hearts to die within us so that we become like stone. We stop feeling things. Our hearts stop breaking for what breaks the heart of God. Our souls stop yearning for God and His righteousness. We become spiritually paralyzed, but the LORD gives us a period of time to cry out to Him. To repent. To let our hearts beat again before we spiritually die. This is His promise to us in Ezekiel.

26 And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.

Ezekiel 36:26

Dear LORD, please forgive me of all of my sins. Forgive me of all of my trespasses against You. Help me to notice Your anointed and have regard for them. Help to not be like Nabal or Pharaoh. Help me to have regard for You, Your people, Your teaching, and Your ways. Help me to be hospitable and loving, filled with a Spirit of Discernment that I might not sin against You. Please replace my heart of stone with a heart of flesh that I might love You and follow You the way You deserve. Thank You for all that You’ve done for me, are doing for me, and will do for me. In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen.

Sound and Heed The Alarm

1 Blow a trumpet in Zion; sound an alarm on my holy mountain! Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble, for the day of the Lord is coming; it is near, ~ Joel 2:1

The coming of the LORD is nearer now more than ever before. It draws nearer and nearer with each and every day. Why? Because the more we remove His presence from our societies, the more we usher in the darkness. The more we persecute His people and spiritually kill the innocent. And soon it will be too much. The LORD will have to once again get up off of His Throne and intervene. But this time, He won’t set His Godliness to the side. He won’t come as a humble carpenter. This time He’ll come in all of His glory and majesty. The kings of the earth will tremble at His greatness when He returns for His people and removes the barrier between mankind and God. What a frightful day for the unbeliever. For those who do not follow Him or His ways.

So, the LORD, through Joel, warns His Church, His people, blow the trumpet in Zion. Sound the alarm. Let them know what’s coming. Let them know what’s at stake. Do whatever you must do to get their attention. Shout over the noise. Shine into the darkness. Don’t let them go on with their lives, unaware of the coming destruction. The coming plagues. The coming wrath.

The LORD is coming soon, but He hasn’t come yet. He’s given us a chance. He’s given us an opportunity to heed the warning of the trumpet. To heed the warning of the alarm. To heed the warning of the LORD and run to Him. To repent from our wicked ways. To turn to Him in humility and a sorrowful heart. The LORD has given us a chance to be saved. Don’t miss the opportunity for salvation. Don’t miss the opportunity to warn others of the times we are living in. Today is the day of salvation; tomorrow is promised to no man.

Peace. Love. Go Forth and Sound and Heed The Alarm.

Release The Fire From Your Bones

9 But if I say I’ll never mention the Lord or speak in his name, his word burns in my heart like a fire. It’s like a fire in my bones! I am worn out trying to hold it in! I can’t do it! ~ Jeremiah 20:9NLT

Jeremiah lived during the time before the Babylonian exile. The LORD came to Him and warned Him about the coming exile of His people because of their sin. Jeremiah passionately warned his people and the people persecuted him for it. They condemned him. Threw him into a cistern. Put him in the stocks. They even whipped him, yet Jeremiah never lost his passion.

He did all the LORD commanded, yet he still saw Judah taken into captivity by Babylon because they refused to believe. Because they believed his words were too harsh. Because they believed the love God had for them would never be removed regardless of how they lived their lives. Then one day, Nebuchadnezzar took the entire city of Jerusalem and, in doing so, conquered Jerusalem.

Jeremiah never stopped warning the people. He was so filled with the Spirit of God that if he were to remain silent, it would be like keeping a fire shut up in his bones. Today, the Church doesn’t have this same kind of passion. We preach God loves everybody, so He’ll never send you to Hell for sinning. God loves and accepts everyone, so there’s no need to change. And if anyone feels that passion begin to burn in their bones and they begin to passionately preach, teach, and warn the people, they are attacked. They’re intimidated into submission by faceless and nameless bullies online. They’re doxed and harassed by people passionate about the wrong things. Things that lead them and others farther and farther away from God.

Don’t let that passion in you for the things of God die. Don’t let the flame burn out. Don’t let the fire in your bones dwindle. Release the passion. Speak the Truth. Warn the sinner. Wake up the saint. Be passionate for the LORD. All other communities are allowed to be passionate about their beliefs, so why can’t Christians be passionate about the things of God?

Peace. Love. Go Forth and Release The Fire From Your Bones.

Chase The Presence of The Almighty

1 As the hart panteth after the water brooks, So panteth my soul after thee, O God. 2 My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: When shall I come and appear before God? ~ Psalms 42:1-2KJV

The problem is that we don’t hunger nor thirst for the presence of God. We barely make it out to church, much less chase His presence. We’re too spiritually lazy to chase after the presence of Jesus, and we don’t want anyone leaving us behind, so that is why some discourage others from chasing the presence of God. They don’t want to, so they don’t want you to either.

The face or the countenance of God is the sign of His blessing and His favor. The countenance, or the presence of God, affects those with whom it comes into contact with. So then, if they are the same word, then it would stand to reason that if you are chasing the presence of God, you would have to be actively seeking the face of God, the very thing He instructed us to do.

We are instructed to seek the face of God. This is beyond dispute. No way can you argue against it. No how can you deny it. You just can’t. We are to chase the presence of Almighty God. If we remain stagnant, then we’ll never grow. If we never grow, then we’ll never produce fruit. If we never produce fruit, then the LORD will have to cut us off. We have to chase the presence of God in order to remain in His presence.

Peace. Love. Go Forth and Chase The Presence of The Almighty.

Seek God’s Understanding

Now there arose a new king over Egypt, who did not know Joseph. ~ Exodus 1:8

After Joseph saved Egypt, with the help of the wisdom of the LORD, a new king arose over Egypt that didn’t know Joseph. Because of this, he began the oppression of the Israelites in the land. The Hebrew word for know in this verse is oida. Oida often connotes not only having knowledge but also being able to understand that knowledge. What does this mean?

The new king didn’t know Joseph because he didn’t understand the power that rested upon Joseph. He didn’t understand that in having no regard for Joseph meant having no regard for the God of Joseph.

Many of us know of great men and women of God. We know their works and their wisdom, but we don’t understand their works or their teachings because we can’t comprehend how it fits the ideology we’ve created or accepted in our own mind. So, we mock them and call them false teachers and blasphemous because their actions didn’t make sense to our own biased beliefs. And in doing so, we don’t realize we are mocking the one who sent them. When we bring persecution upon a man or woman of God, we are persecuting Jesus, just as Saul did (Acts 22:7-8).

Jesus lives in and through His Church. This is why we are called the body of Christ because Christ (the head) dictates where the body must go and what the body must do. Therefore, don’t just make a blind judgment call on someone because they are different or believe differently than you. Seek the LORD for discernment as you test every spirit so that you might not persecute Christ because of the lack of understanding.

Peace. Love. Go Forth and Seek God’s Understanding.
