Be His Body

10 For it was fitting that He, for whom and by whom all things exist, in bringing many sons to glory, should make the founder of their salvation perfect through suffering. ~ Hebrew 2:10

God’s desire is to bring many sons and daughters to glory. Therefore, our job as Christians is to be Satraps and ambassadors for Christ so that we might add to the amount that are saved and redeemed. We are the hands and feet of Jesus. We are His eyes and His mouthpiece. Therefore, our job is to be vigilant, watchful, and testify to the goodness of God, to His miraculous saving power, and to His steadfast love So That He Might Not Suffer Loss.

What’s the bottom line? We must work hard, for the fields are white on to harvest (John 4:35). The fields are ready for harvesting, yes, but the laborers are few, so that means we must work even harder so that the king, LORD Jesus, the King of kings, Might Not Suffer Loss.

Peace. Love. Go Forth and Be His Body.

Be Careful

19 I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Therefore choose life, that you and your offspring may live, 20 loving the Lord your God, obeying his voice and holding fast to him, for he is your life and length of days, that you may dwell in the land that the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them. ~ Deuteronomy 30:19-20

From the very beginning, mankind was given a choice. Adam and Eve were given a choice in the Garden of Eden that day. It’s no good being given the freedom to choose but have no choices to make. It doesn’t work. It is only a farce. We have choices, and the freedom to choose.

We have a choice right now, either we step up to the plate and swing for the fence so that the King Might Not Suffer Loss, or we sit on the bench and watch the ball go by.

That is your choice!

Adam and Eve could have chosen to listen and obey God so that the king would not suffer loss, but instead, they chose quite the opposite.

Remember, man was created without sin. Adam and Eve were both innocent until they rebelled against God’s commandment and ate the forbidden fruit.

Instead of standing up to the serpent and protecting the king’s interest, both Adam and Eve gave in and rebelled against God, causing the king great loss.

Today, we still have a choice. We can either choose life or death. Freedom from Christ or sin. There is, always was, and always will be a choice.

Peace. Love. Go Forth and Be Careful What You Choose.

Hands of Man

28 And God blessed them. And God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” ~ Genesis 1:28

Did you notice God’s commission to Adam and Eve? This is the original Great Commission. To be:

  • Fruitful
  • To multiply and fill the earth
  • And subdue it

We were to get all of this done because God gave us dominion over all of the earth. Everything was placed under our control. Why would God place such power and control in the hands of man?

The short answer is So That He Might Not Suffer Loss.

Do You Know What Is Truth?

37 Then Pilate said to Him, “So you are a king?” Jesus answered, “You say that I am a king. For this purpose I was born and for this purpose I have come into the world—to bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice.” 38 Pilate said to him, “What is truth?” After he had said this, he went back outside to the Jews and told them, “I find no guilt in Him.” ~ John 18:37-38

When Jesus stood before Pilate, He told him that He came to bear witness to the truth. Pilate then asked, what is truth? Well, here is truth. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son to die for each and every one of us (John 3:16). That is Truth.

He promised to come into the world as a baby through the virgin (Isaiah 7:14), and He did. He promised to redeem mankind with His own blood (Isaiah 53:5-12), and He did. He promised to give us His Holy Spirit as a seal, and He did.

All of His promised He has kept. But there is still one more that is yet to be fulfilled. He has promised to come back to get us so that we believers may live with Him forever and ever without end.

If you would like to spend eternity with Jesus, here is how to do it. Come to Him in repentance. If you call out to Christ, He will answer you. If you ask for forgiveness, He will forgive. It is not the words so much as it is your remorse for your sin and your desire to please the Savior.

False Freedom

20 For when you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness. 21 But what fruit were you getting at that time from the things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death. 22 But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the fruit you get leads to sanctification and its end, eternal life. 23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. ~ Romans 6:20-23

It is all about bearing fruit. Paul is saying that when you were a slave to sin, you could do whatever you wanted to do. But there was no fruit there, and the end of all of that freedom is death. The second death is the only thing that awaits those who are not in Christ, those who have never accepted Him as LORD and as Savior.

What is the Second Death, you ask? It is the Lake of Fire. It is hell, where the flames will burn forever, and there is torment and gnashing of teeth. It is a place you do not want to go.

Listen, you can spend all your life working for money, or you can spend all your money working for life. But in the end, what will it profit, or what will it benefit you if you gain the whole world but lose your soul?

There is absolutely nothing that you can offer Jesus on Judgment Day in exchange for your soul. No amount of money or abundance of things will suffice. Jesus is not interested in anything that you have.

The truth is you have nothing that was not given to you in the first place. Therefore, there is nothing that is worth your soul.

Everything belongs to the LORD. The earth and its fullness are the LORD’s. The cattle on a thousand hills are all the LORD’s.

So, tell me, O’ mere man, what do you have that was not given to you? Or what do you possess that makes you better than anyone else?

We must all give an account, and every knee shall bow in worship, and every tongue shall proclaim, to the glory of God, that Jesus Christ is LORD of all, and that He is master of everything.

  • There is none like Him
  • There is none besides Him
  • All is beneath Him
  • For He created all things
  • And all things are from Him and for Him

Beware Of The Flatteries

A man who flatters his neighbor spreads a net for his feet. ~ Proverbs 29:5

Some people will say whatever they have to in order to get what they want. They’ll say things to stroke your ego, but those are just empty words. They’ll manipulate you, so you have to be on guard.

Do not fall for every word of flattery you receive. Be wise. Weigh their words. If it is flattery, it will feel good. It will fill you with pride, but it will not end well.

Peace. Love. Go Forth and Beware Of The Flatteries.

Faulty Flatteries

All the high officials of the kingdom, the prefects and the satraps, the counselors and the governors are agreed that the king should establish an ordinance and enforce an injunction, that whoever makes petition to any god or man for thirty days, except to you, O king, shall be cast into the den of lions. ~ Daniel 6:7

Well, they started off with a lie. They said ALL of the high officials of the kingdom, but Daniel was not a part of their scheme. But they insinuated that he was. And did you notice how they flattered the king?

They made it seem like it was all about the king. Like you’re doing such a great job, O king. You are so wise. We believe you’re the best thing since slice bread O king. And your wisdom is forever. We believe that for the next thirty days, no one should petition, pray, or seek the advice of anyone else, not even a god, no one, except for you.

You’re simply the best! Better than all the rest!

And with these words, they stroked King Darius’ ego. When flattering lips begin to stroke your ego, beware, it is not your best interest they are seeking, but their own.

Put God Above

16 King Asa also removed Maacah, his grandmother, from being queen mother because she had made an obscene image of Asherah. Asa chopped down her obscene image, then crushed it and burned it in the Kidron Valley. ~ 2 Chronicles 15:16CSB

Many of us put family above everything, and in most cases, it’s the right order, but not in all cases. Sometimes the family member is living in sin and needs to be corrected. Sometimes, they even need to be removed from their position of authority.

King Asa was a good king. He tried to follow the LORD, even if it meant taking away the royal position of queen mother from his grandmother. King Asa knew that it doesn’t matter if they are family or not; you have to do what is right in the eyes of the LORD. You have to put God above all other things.

Nothing has changed today. God still must be honored and placed above all else because it is only He that saves. It’s only He that gives life. And it’s only He that can keep us from living a life of sin. Therefore, we must regard God above all else so that He might keep us from a sinful  life away from Him.

Peace. Love. Go Forth and Put God Above.

Experience More

20 Now in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver but also of wood and clay, some for honorable use, some for dishonorable. 21 Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from what is dishonorable, he will be a vessel for honorable use, set apart as holy, useful to the master of the house, ready for every good work. ~ 2 Timothy 2:20-21

To be sanctified simply means to be set apart as holy. Matter-of-fact, we’re not just set apart as holy, but we are set apart as holy because we have been brought into the arms of God, into the Kingdom of God. This is why we will be recognized by our fruit, because unless we are transformed by the renewing of our mind, then we aren’t sanctified. We are still in darkness.

Jesus didn’t come into this world so that we can remain in the world and never change. Jesus came to redeem us out of the world into His Glorious Light. Christ came and suffered so that we might be sanctified through Him.

Don’t allow the lies of the world to keep you from being transformed into a new creation in Christ Jesus. Don’t allow them to keep you stuck in the darkness, unable to encounter the Light and experience the Truth and Love of God.

Peace. Love. Go Forth and Experience More.

Take Back Control

19b … that he may command his children and his household after him to keep the way of the LORD by doing righteousness and justice. ~ Genesis 18:19

God chose Abram not because he was the wealthiest man, the wisest man, or even the most righteous man. God chose Abram because God foresaw that Abram would teach his children and their children to follow the Word of the LORD. That was it. God knew that Abram would lead his household in the ways of righteousness in a way that it would be passed down from generation to generation.

Understand that the job of the father in the home is to command His children and his household in the things of God. Fathers, we don’t leave that up to the mothers to do. That is not their job. It is our job to command our children and our household in the things of God.

We are to teach and instruct. We are to guide and lead. That is the basic duty of a father. Statistics show that a child is more likely to stay in the Church when they grow into an adult if their father is an active member of the Church. Don’t leave your fatherly duty up to anyone else. We are to lead our families by following God and living our lives for Him, so that we might be an active example for our households.

Peace. Love. Go Forth and Take Control.
