Don’t Give Into Fear

1 The wicked flee when no one pursues, but the righteous are bold as a lion. ~ Proverbs 28:1

We are the righteous children of God, so why do we fear? Jesus came down from heaven to earth to die on the cross and rise again so that we would no longer be slaves to anything. We are no longer slaves to sin, our past transgressions and mistakes, neither are we slaves to fear. So, why are we so afraid? For fear has to do with punishment, and we are now redeemed from punishment. We are the chosen children of God.

The Almighty lives in you, and He is doing a great work in you, so don’t be afraid to follow Him and His plan for your life. Don’t be afraid to try or to live. You are free. Always remember fear only works if you’re afraid. Unless you give into fear, there is nothing that fear can do to you. It has no control over you unless you give into it. So, stand strong in confidence and the authority of Jesus Christ, the Lion of the Tribe of Judah.

Peace. Love. Go Forth and Don’t Give Into Fear.

The Separation From God

45 And when he came, he went up to Him at once and said, “Rabbi!” And he kissed Him. 46 And they laid hands on Him and seized Him. 47 But one of those who stood by drew his sword and struck the servant of the high priest and cut off his ear. 48 And Jesus said to them, “Have you come out as against a robber, with swords and clubs to capture me? 49 Day after day I was with you in the temple teaching, and you did not seize me. But let the Scriptures be fulfilled.” 50 And they all left Him and fled. ~ Mark 14:45-50

The disciples walked and talked with God made flesh. They witnessed miracle after miracle. They even laid against His chest and listened to His heartbeat. They were His closest friends, but fear jumped on each of them, and when Jesus needed them most, they abandoned Him.

Each of us will one day face our fears for being a Christian. We only have today to prepare for it. So don’t waste the time you are given to train in Christ Jesus. Don’t waste the time you are given to strengthen your faith so that when fear comes at you with great force, you will stand firm in Christ Jesus.

Peace. Love. Go Forth and Stand With Christ.

Don’t Be In Dread

17 “You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or his male servant, or his female servant, or his ox, or his donkey, or anything that is your neighbor’s.” 18 Now when all the people saw the thunder and the flashes of lightning and the sound of the trumpet and the mountain smoking, the people were afraid and trembled, and they stood far off 19 and said to Moses, “You speak to us, and we will listen; but do not let God speak to us, lest we die.” ~ Exodus 20:17-19

The people of Israel were just brought out of the land of Egypt, where they had been slaves for 400 years. God rescued them with signs and wonders not even Pharaoh’s magicians could imitate. When they were hungry, they received manna from Heaven, and quail dropped out of the sky. A Pillar of Cloud guarded and led them by day, while a Pillar of Fire guarded and led them by night. The LORD even sent His Son in the form of a rock so that the people could receive water. The LORD was with the People of Israel everywhere they went, yet when they saw the Nephilim fear found a way in, and they forgot all of God’s promises for them.

Fear is paralyzing and abusive. It will deceive you with looks and feelings vs. facts and Truth. The LORD is greater than all our fear, yet if we go by looks alone, the giants will seem greater than our God. We can’t allow any fear into our hearts because fear only needs to get its toe in the door to completely consume you. Don’t believe its lies for fear is just False Evidence Appearing Real.

Peace. Love. Go Forth and Don’t Be In Dread.

Shine

16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven. ~ Matthew 5:16 ESV

We live in a very secular world, with different beliefs, different thoughts, and very different religious tolerance. Not everyone will accept our message. Not everyone will accept us. So don’t judge or make others feel like we’re condemning them.

Make sure you let your light shine so that they can see your good works because they are watching, evaluating, and making a mental note. If you show intolerance for their beliefs, they will show you likewise.

I always start with a question. What do you believe about…? Or what is your concept of this…? Or thoughts on such and such…? Don’t be afraid to engage people in a conversation. How will they hear if they are not told? And if not you, then who? So, do it now, don’t wait. If you wait, you won’t do it. And before you know it, you’ve lost the moment.

Remember, it’s not our job to save people because it’s not our blood that saves them, nor is it our Spirit that draws them to repentance. It is, however, our job to tell people. So don’t be afraid to have those conversations. Just be mindful, tactful, and sincere. Don’t let fear keep you from sharing the good news. Let God speak through you, just as He spoke through Peter on the day of Pentecost.

Father, give us boldness to proclaim Your word. Stretch forth Your mighty hand to save, heal, and restore. May You receive honor and glory, in Jesus’ name, amen.

Safe in His Hands

27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. 28 I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand. 30 I and the Father are one. ~ John 10:27–30

There you have it from Jesus’ own mouth. No one can snatch us out of His hands. We are secure in His hands. All we have to do is to continue in obedience. All we have to do is abide in His everlasting, eternal love.

Therefore, Christmas is the security that we have in Jesus. That no matter what they take from us. No matter if they confiscate our property, and I believe that time is coming and is even right at the door when they will soon start the confiscation of Christian property to keep us compliant. Still, even if they do, they can’t take or confiscate our salvation.

So, no matter what may come your way, no one, and that means no one, can separate you from God. When we get all concerned about what’s happening around us, when we get all concerned when things aren’t going as we think they ought to, and we ask, what about all these times? We can have confidence that not even death can separate us from Christ, for to die is to gain.

Heavenly Father, help me to grasp the understanding that I am safe in Your hands. Help me to truly understand that nothing can penetrate Your love for me. Help me to understand that the only way I can be separated from You is to freely walk away, and may I never do so. Help me to build my life on You that my foundation may be strong and secure so that when rain and floods come my way, I can stand firm in You. In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen.

Dwell In Faith

For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, ~ Ephesians 2:8

It is only by faith that we are saved. And if we dwell in fear, then we don’t have faith. And if we don’t have faith, then we cannot please God. In other words, we cannot be saved. We have to dwell in love if we want to be with God, and the only way to dwell in love is to dwell in faith.

Faith comes by knowing God, which can only be done by spending time in His word as well as spending time in prayer and worship. We can’t expect to get to know God without spending time with Him. So, spend time with God. Get to know who He is, and you won’t live in fear or doubt; you will dwell in faith and love.

Peace. Love. Go Forth and Dwell In Faith.

Put Your Confidence In Your God

32b Let no man’s heart fail because of him. Your servant will go and fight with this Philistine. ~ 1 Samuel 17:32b

After 40 mornings and 40 evenings of being:

    • Ridiculed
    • Threatened
    • Harassed
    • Provoked
    • Intimidated
    • Terrified

This vast Israelite army was about to get a reprieve at the hands of a young boy. A young boy who remembered his quiet times of prayer, worship, and faithfulness and how God was faithful to him in return. He did not fear. He did not cower. He did not shrink back, but rather he knew what God did for him in the past, and he was sure God would do it for him again.

When king Saul insisted, he was too young and too inexperienced to go and fight this monster of a man, David remained confident.

‘I know he is big and bad; I know he is a giant; I know all the other men in the army are running in fear, I know he has four other brothers just as big as he, but I am not afraid.’ So, what was David’s confidence? In his God. David knew who His God was. The moment that you realize who your God is, is the moment fear will lose its hold on you. Your confidence is no longer in yourself; it’s now in your God. And our God is greater than all others.

Peace. Love. Go Forth and Put Your Confidence In Your God.

Hold To The Constant

1 To you, O Lord, I lift up my soul. 2 O my God, in you I trust; let me not be put to shame; let not my enemies exult over me. 3 Indeed, none who wait for you shall be put to shame; they shall be ashamed who are wantonly treacherous. ~ Psalms 25:1-3

Fear tells us that we are so distant from God. That He won’t come to our rescue. That He doesn’t care. Fear will tell you that following God isn’t worth it. That what the world feels and thinks matters a lot more than what God feels and thinks. That right now is more important than Eternity. But Fear is a liar.

Fear tries to use whatever it can to separate God and His children. The fear of rejection holds so many back, but don’t let that stop you. None who trust in the LORD shall be put to shame. The LORD will avenge you. He will bring justice. You don’t have to let fear keep you in your own little bubble. You aren’t alone. Focus on God, not on anyone or anything else.

Don’t allow fear to steal your eternity. The world is constantly changing, but God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He is constant.

Peace. Love. Go Forth and Hold To The Constant.

Melt the Chains of Fear

24 Saul said to Samuel, “I have sinned, for I have transgressed the commandment of the Lord and your words, because I feared the people and obeyed their voice.” ~ 1 Samuel 15:24

Fear leads to compromise. What fear does, is it whispers lies in the minds of its victims. The fear of failure, rejection, loneliness, etc. will overtake those who focus on the favor of the world instead of the favor of God. When we focus on abiding in the love of God instead of abiding in the infatuation of the world, the chains of fear will begin to melt off of us.

Don’t allow the people around you to intimidate you into losing your blessing, race, or battle. Hold on to the mighty hands of God and stand confident in your faith. Be strong and courageous.

Peace. Love. Go Forth and Melt the Chains of Fear.

Be Filled With The Spirit

Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you. ~ Deuteronomy 31:6

God just takes it for granted that you can have some comprehension of how great and awesome He is. If we can only understand the concept of:

    • How much we mean to Him
    • How much He loves us
    • How powerful He is
    • There’ll be no stopping us

If only we can but get a hold of that, we will have complete boldness and confidence. We would be fearless, even in the face of death.

Fear is not of God. Fear is from the devil. God did not give us the spirit of fear. When we dwell in fear, we don’t dwell in love. And if we don’t dwell in love, we don’t dwell in God. The moment we let go of our fear and allow ourselves to fully trust God, we will be able to dwell in His presence. We will no longer have a spirit of fear but of power, love, and a sound mind.

Peace. Love. Go Forth and Be Filled With The Spirit.
