Prepare Your Eyes and Ears

Therefore God sends them a strong delusion, so that they may believe what is false. ~ 2 Thessalonians 2:11

No doubt, we are living in the End Times. This world and all that we know, this side of eternity, is quickly passing away, and many other things will befall us before it is all over. In the End Times, all sorts of deception will come about. People will be deceived because of fear-mongering by the elites. They will be deceived because of brainwashing. They will be deceived because they refuse to see or even acknowledge the truth.

So how do we make sure we are not victims of this strong delusion that is coming? We open our eyes and ears to the Truth. If we truly study the Word of God and allow the LORD to speak to us through His Word, we won’t be easily deceived because the Truth of God will begin to be written on our hearts. It will no longer just be words on a page but the living Word of God that fills your soul and guides your every step.

Stay With The Sheepfold

15 And he carried away Jehoiachin to Babylon. The king’s mother, the king’s wives, his officials, and the chief men of the land he took into captivity from Jerusalem to Babylon. 16 And the king of Babylon brought captive to Babylon all the men of valor, 7,000, and the craftsmen and the metal workers, 1,000, all of them strong and fit for war. ~ 2 Kings 24:15-16

Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, took all of the important people to Babylon, including all the chief men or the men of rank, the government officials, the artisans and smiths, and even all the men of valor, which were their special forces. After the fall of Jerusalem, King Nebuchadnezzar rounded them all up and marched them off to Babylon, where he assimilated them into Babylonian society. Why? He was strategically removing the threat of a formal rebellion.

Then, the Medes and the Persians conquered Babylon. Cyrus the Great, in his first year of being king of the world, essentially, he makes a proclamation. The Bible also tells us that he puts it in writing, inviting any of the Jews who were led by God to return to Jerusalem could go and rebuild the Temple (Ezra chapter 1). But what happened? How did the Jews respond? Not all of the Jews volunteered to go back, however.

Why would they not want to go back to their own homeland? Because their children were born in the land of Babylon, some of them had grandchildren, others had successful businesses, and they all had homes and were making a successful living there. That was where their lives were now.

There was not very much incentive for returning. The place was destroyed. Their homes were gone, and there were very few opportunities, so they opted to stay where the money was, so to speak. In other words, the deportation and resettlement program worked just as the Assyrians and Babylonians had envisioned it to work. No rebellion, no uprising, only peace and loyalty.

Today, the elites are doing the same thing to the Church. They are trying to separate us from the core Biblical Truths that build the foundation of our Faith and replace them with their own truths. If they can separate us from the Truth of God, then they can have us willingly leave the sheepfold. By the time the Truth is presented to us, we are no longer interested in the Truth because we have claimed the lies that have been fed to us for so long. No longer do we feel comfortable or at home in the sheepfold; now, we are at home in the world.

Therefore, awaken your spiritual eyes and pay close attention to the schemes of the enemy. The thief comes to steal, kill, and destroy. How can a sheep be destroyed? By being sifted like wheat. By being separated from the Shepherd and the rest of the sheepfold.

Steadfast And Immovable

58 Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain. ~ 1 Corinthians 15:58

Paul is encouraging the Corinthian church to be steadfast, which means to be unchanging, as in a firm and fixed foundation. Then he reiterates with another adjective, immovable, which means basically the same thing: firm, unshaken, and steady. So, here we get the idea that Paul is really trying to emphasize something to them. He is trying to encourage the Corinthian Christians not to be weaving and swerving in their faith but to be steadfast as a sure foundation and as immovable as a Royal Palm that grows in the Cayman Islands.

Many years ago, there was an accident in the Cayman Islands where a car traveling at a very high rate of speed with four men in it hit a Royal Palm Tree. The car was actually broken in two, and three out of the four men were killed on impact. The tree, however, was not noticeably damaged. The next day, after all the wreckage was cleared, no one could even tell that there was a triple fatality there. Only a small brown spot, which could have been caused by anything, served to mark the spot, and you had to look closely to even notice that.

This is the steadfast, immovable faith Paul is encouraging the Corinthian Church to have. He is encouraging them to never let anything disrupt their faith. Just like that palm tree withstood the impact of an event that should have caused more damage than it did, they, too, must stand firm when all sorts of trials and temptations come against them.

Those words were not written to them alone, but, by extension, they were written for our benefit as well. We are to be steadfast, immovable, without swaying to the left or to the right, but with our eyes steadfast on Jesus, we are to run our course; we are to finish the race with all perseverance. It is not easy, or even possible, for us to do if not for Jesus, but through Jesus, all things are possible for us. Therefore, we can and will finish the race and win the prize as long as we stand steadfast and immovable in Jesus’ mighty Name.

When we are steadfast and immovable, things that would knock a regular person off their feet will only bounce off of the Christian whose hope and faith is in the LORD Jesus. He is our firm foundation and with Him and through Him all things are possible for us, and all adversities are overcomeable for us.

Thank you, LORD Jesus, that You are our firm foundation, and through You, we are overcomers. We are steadfast and immovable, just like Your great faithfulness and love, and the race is winnable. I give You praise, Almighty God, because there is none like You. In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen.

The Joy of The LORD

9 And Nehemiah, who was the governor, and Ezra the priest and scribe, and the Levites who taught the people said to all the people, “This day is holy to the Lord your God; do not mourn or weep.” For all the people wept as they heard the words of the Law. 10 Then he said to them, “Go your way. Eat the fat and drink sweet wine and send portions to anyone who has nothing ready, for this day is holy to our Lord. And do not be grieved, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.” 11 So the Levites calmed all the people, saying, “Be quiet, for this day is holy; do not be grieved.” 12 And all the people went their way to eat and drink and to send portions and to make great rejoicing, because they had understood the words that were declared to them ~ Nehemiah 8:9-12

The Jews had only just begun to return to their homeland from the Babylonian captivity. Yes, the temple was finished and dedicated, and the wall was also finished but had not yet been dedicated. The people gathered, and Ezra, the priest, read from the Book of the Law of Moses. While Ezra read from the Book of the Law, the Levites explained the meaning to the people. When the people heard and understood the words that were being read, they began to mourn and weep. So, Nehemiah, Ezra, and the Levites who were teaching the people began to tell them, “Do not mourn or weep, for this day is holy to the LORD your God. It was the first day of the seventh month. In other words, it was the Feast of Trumpets. It was a day of celebration with joy.

After that, Nehemiah sent the people home and told them to go, eat, drink, celebrate, and share with others who do not have. Then, he instructed the people not to grieve, for the joy of the LORD is your strength. So, here is the thing. When you get stressed out from either grieving, mourning, or anxiousness, it drains your physical strength. If you get really stressed out, you become anxious, and some people will even become depressed. It affects your immune system and your sleep, it will give you headaches, and it can even make you sick. It can cause high blood pressure, heart disease, and even stroke. This takes a toll on your body. It will physically weaken you.

Joy, on the other hand, boosts your immune system, supports longevity, and promotes an overall healthier body, soul, and mind. Therefore, the joy of the LORD is our strength. Joy is much different than happiness. In short, happiness depends on circumstances, while joy depends on the LORD. We don’t need anything else to make us joyful, except to know Him and know that He loves us and cares for us and that He is coming back to get us one day, and there we will be with Him forever and ever. Therefore, we don’t let stress take over our lives; we hand it over to Jesus. As that old hymn says, “What a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer.” He told us in His Word to cast all of our cares and anxieties on Him because He cares for us.

So, the next time you feel that age old enemy bringing stress on you, do not bend your back and submit to its load, but get on your knees and carry your burden to Jesus. Begin to worship, being to praise, sing songs of worship, and recite encouraging Psalms, like Psalms 23 and others. Heavenly Father, please help me not to submit to stress, anxiety, or depression. But rather, when I feel it coming on, help me to fight on my knees, give me the strength to seek Your joy, that I might be strengthened. In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen.

Pay Close Attention To Their Actions

25 Knowing their thoughts, he said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself is laid waste, and no city or house divided against itself will stand.” ~ Matthew 12:25

The policing of speech has become more and more common, not just here in the US but all over the world as well. This isn’t designed to bring peace, fairness, or equity but to keep the people silent as they destroy our cities and our towns and bring about the New World Order with them in charge and we… their subservient slaves. If we survive, that is.

I mean, there is a purge planned to bring the world’s population down to a ‘sustainable’ number. And it’s all about keeping us quiet while they do to us whatever they want. We are not allowed to object to their plans for us.

For instance, the Brits do not want the riots in the UK to be publicized, for the world to see, or for their citizens to know what is really going on. These are the videos that are targeted by the UK dedicated police. Videos of the riots and the protests that are happening, and some of these videos only ask questions like, “Where are the police?”

But anyone who exposes the hidden agenda of the elites is targeted, hunted down and harassed, or thrown in jail. They will be labeled villains and criminals when all they want is freedom and liberation for their country from a tyrannical government. It is the perilous times that Paul spoke about.

The other day, we were talking to a British citizen living in the UK about all that is going on over there, and we asked why don’t you all say something? The person said, we can’t, or we will be labeled a racist. I wonder, could it be true that white guilt was designed by the New World Order to hush up and suppress the free speech of the majority of the populace and bring about even more division? Divide and conquer.

Open your eyes to the state of the world around us. To those in power and what they are doing vs. what they are saying. Look at how they divide us for their own personal gain. What do we, the people, gain from being divided? The answer is nothing.

Shine Your Light

13 And the Lord said: “Because this people draw near with their mouth and honor me with their lips, while their hearts are far from me, and their fear of me is a commandment taught by men,” ~ Isaiah 29:13

I recently rewatched a series entitled The Middle. God and going to church were recurring themes throughout the series, which should have been a nice addition, but for me, it almost made me sad. The more I watched, the more I realized that this family really represented and showed the current state of the Church today. They often talked about God, they showed prayer every now and then, they showed them going to church, but never did they actually show them having a relationship with God. Christianity had no impact on their lives whatsoever. They believed in God and believed they were saved but had no fruit to show for it.

This is the state of the Church today. It’s very surface-level Christianity. We go to church because that’s how you make it into Heaven. You don’t have to do anything else. You don’t have to better yourself. The Light of God doesn’t have to shine through you. You just have to have some form of belief that God exists and go to church on Sundays. That’s it. Then, when something happens to us or a loved one, and we pray but receive no answer, we want to blame God. We want to question His goodness and love or try to make ourselves feel better and say He’s no longer in the healing, restoring, miracle-working business.

The old saying really does ring true:

The religion that doesn’t change you, cannot save you.

When our religion becomes just about playing a useless role and nothing else, then our religion is also useless. Christ said as long as He is in the world, He is the Light of the world. Here’s the thing, Christ is no longer in the world. He is seated at the right hand of the Father; that is why He looked at His disciples and followers and boldly proclaimed that they were the light of the world. Why? Because when we accept Christ, it is no longer us who live but Christ who lives in us and through us. Therefore, our religion should change us. We should never continue in our old ways, just going through the motions; we should always be changing for the better. We should be running the race set before us. We should be lighting the world.

Always Pay Attention

10 You have devised shame for your house by cutting off many peoples; you have forfeited your life. ~ Habakkuk 2:10

This word cutting off is the Hebrew word (qā·ṣā(h)). It means to scrape, i.e., destroy an object, as a figurative extension of scraping an object. The word is used in Leviticus to scrape the plaster off so as to remove mold or mildew. In other words, it’s not removing the whole thing, only the part that is infected. In other words, removing or destroying the offending part of something.

Our Scripture said, “You have devised shame for your house by cutting off many peoples.”

Please notice that it did not say by killing or murdering, but by scraping many people. Could this be applied to free speech? Free speech is being targeted. All speech is not censored; only the offending part is scraped off and destroyed. And it’s not only here in America but all around the world, including Europe.

Our freedoms (freedom of speech, religion, etc.) are being cut off. They’re being scraped away. They are being targeted. Once we have no more freedom, what will be left of us? Fight for your freedoms. Don’t just give them up blindly. Stand up for your rights because when they are gone, then it will be almost impossible to get them back.

The Whole Earth

14 For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea. ~ Habakkuk 2:14

Can you imagine a time when peace will reign, and the glory of the LORD will Cover the whole earth, and Jesus Himself will be in charge to extend true equity to everyone? What a glorious day that will be.

God has not forsaken us, nor has He left us defenseless. He will come in our time of trouble, for He has promised that the whole earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD as the waters cover the sea.

There is coming a time when the LORD will say enough is enough, and He will return for His people. Every tear will be wiped away, and every heartache healed in the presence of the LORD. Peace will reign, and Jesus will sit as king.

Here’s the thing, though, only those who choose to follow Him now during a time of chaos and tribulation will enter into this rest. This time of peace that is promised. So, don’t be discouraged by the times; they won’t last. They won’t be forever. Paul said that these are just light afflictions compared to all that God has in store for those who love Him.

Pray For The Plunderers

8 Because you have plundered many nations, all the remnant of the peoples shall plunder you, for the blood of man and violence to the earth, to cities and all who dwell in them. ~ Habakkuk 2:8

Why were they plundered? For The Blood Of Man. In other words, they have shed innocent blood. This word man is the Hebrew word, ʾā·ḏām, meaning human, male or female regardless of age. It is simply referring to the whole human race.

Habakkuk said that the thieves who plundered many nations will also be plundered because of all of the bloodshed and violence that they have caused upon the earth and in the cities and to all who dwell in them.

In other words, what they sowed, that shall they reap. The wicked may seem to be thriving right now. They may seem to be winning in life, but spiritually, they are dying of starvation. Spiritually, they are poor without hope.

Oftentimes, we look at the world through our temporary lenses. We see them as only what they physically have and not what they spiritually lack. They may have much on this earth, but in eternity, they won’t even have a drop of water to quench their thirst. How devastating of an eternity they will face, all because they thought they were too big to reap the evil they have sowed.

It’s very easy to say they’ll one day get their just rewards, but that’s not the desire of God. God’s desire is that all come to repentance in Christ Jesus. He doesn’t take pleasure in punishing the wicked, so why should we feel pleasure or comfort in their punishment? The only difference between us and the wicked is that we’ve accepted Christ. That’s the only difference. Otherwise, we’d be right next to them in Hell, away from God for all eternity. Without Christ, we’d reap exactly what we’ve sowed, which is evil. All have fallen astray, and not one of us is good.

Therefore, don’t rejoice in their downfall, nor take pleasure or comfort in their punishment. Instead, pray for their souls that they might repent and escape the punishment that is to come. Pray that their hearts might be softened and they turn from their evil ways. Not only would their souls be saved, but if the wicked who plunder the nations are saved, then there would be no one left plundering the nations, and our world would be a better place.

Do What Is Right, Just, And Fair

1 The proverbs of Solomon, son of David, king of Israel: 2 To know wisdom and instruction, to understand words of insight, 3 to receive instruction in wise dealing, in righteousness, justice, and equity; 4 to give prudence to the simple, knowledge and discretion to the youth— ~ Proverbs 1:1-4

Solomon, son of David, king of Israel, began his proverbs with these verses. He starts by saying doing what is right, just, and fair. The Scriptures say that a three-strand cord is not easily broken, and this three-strand cord should stand the test of time if we live our lives by it. Have you ever had to deal with a Christian at work that you just couldn’t trust? I know it’s an oxymoron to say something like that, but sometimes it is true.

Years ago, my wife had to deal with a certain man who professed to be a Christian, and he was high up in his church. The problem, however, was she could not trust his word. He would say one thing in the meetings and say something totally and completely opposite when he left. It was so bad that she began to get everything and every request from him in writing. That is terrible.

King Solomon said to do what is right. Speaking truth is always the right thing to do. People should always be able to depend on and trust your word. If you lose your good name, what do you have left?

Solomon also said to do what is just. Again, that means doing things correctly. We don’t take questionable shortcuts. We don’t do things on the sly. We act correctly and always seek perfection. We do things the correct and right way, not trying to get over on people. That is not the Christian way.

And finally, Solomon said to do what is fair. Not only fair for you but what is fair for both parties. People you interact with or do business with should always feel comfortable that you are not just looking out for your own self, and so they must scrutinize everything you say and do. There was a time when men were gentlemen. And you could conduct business with their word and a handshake. But these days, it seems like everyone is trying to get ahead at the expense of everyone else, and it does not matter who gets hurt or who loses.

Solomon indicated that if we followed these three things, we would gain understanding and insight because these are words of wisdom.
So, today, let us Christians seek to do what is right, no matter what, and do what is just, no matter what, and do what is fair, no matter what.

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You that You always do what is Right, Just, and Fair, no matter what. You are holy, loving, and kind. Help me to endeavor to be like You in Jesus’ name, I pray, amen.
