Find What is Right

12 There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death. ~ Proverbs 14:12

There are things we might count as acceptable and not really that important. You might even make the excuse, “Oh, God understands.” But that’s just our carnal nature talking. Because God understands alright. He understands that there is a way that seems right, but its end is death.

Those same things that might not be important to us, or might seem acceptable enough, you know they’re not too bad, those same things just might be of utmost importance and totally unacceptable to God. Therefore, you better find out what seems right unto God, who will judge and award accordingly.

Peace. Love. Go Forth and Find What is Right.

Live As New

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. ~ 1 John 1:9

So, if your sins are forgiven, you are also cleansed, and if you are cleansed, you are also free, which means you will be miraculously transformed into a saint. So, live like it. Live like you are forgiven. Live like you’re cleansed. Live like you’re free.

Why does it matter? Because if God has forgiven you, and you no longer do the things you used to do or say the thing you used to say, you are no longer the same person; you are now a new creature in Jesus Christ. You are a Saint of God.

Why? Because we must become a new creation so that we might win others. The world cannot lead the world to the Truth. The blind cannot lead the blind to the Promised Land. The ignorant cannot teach the ignorant. We have to put off our old self and become a new creation in Christ Jesus that He might dwell in us and lead the lost to Himself through us.

Peace. Love. Go Forth and Live As New.

Seek the Light

1 In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. And God saw that the light was good. And God separated the light from the darkness. God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, the first day. ~ Genesis 1:1-5

Isn’t it interesting how it never says God created the darkness? It’s like the darkness always existed… So, to counteract that darkness, God created light. Darkness is what everything is born into because darkness is the lack of light, and God is light.

No matter how good we think we are, all have sinned and fallen short. All are born of sin. All need repentance. Therefore all are born in darkness, just like Heaven and earth in the very beginning. But just like God created light to break the oppression of darkness over Heaven and earth, He sent the light (Jesus) to earth to break the oppression of darkness over us.

He didn’t leave us in the dark; God Himself got off of His throne and came to earth so that we could have light. The light that can’t be overcome by darkness. The light that brings life. The light that makes a way where there is no way. The light that wasn’t created in the beginning but was from before the beginning. A greater and better light than the light spoken into being on that first day. The light that is literally God incarnate. Don’t miss your opportunity to leave the darkness.

Don’t miss your opportunity to be free and have life everlasting. Today is the day of Salvation; tomorrow is promised to no man. So seek God while He can still be found. Don’t let fear and shame deceive you; there’s no amount of darkness that is too dark for God to overcome. He’s already overcome the world. He’s already paid your debt. He’s already gone to the cross and taken your pain and suffering upon Himself. He’s already done the heavy lifting. All you have to do is accept His free gift of Salvation.

Peace. Love. Go Forth and Seek the Light.

Declare Your Thanksgiving

14 Offer to God a sacrifice of thanksgiving, and perform your vows to the Most High, 15 and call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me. ~ Psalms 50:14–15

If we are thankful and express our thanks and we perform our vows, God said we can call upon Him in the day of trouble, and what? And He will deliver you, and you, in turn, will glorify Him. God wants to be glorified, but He also wants to bless you. He wants to heal you.

Are you in a day of trouble? Your trouble could be medical issues. You might have gotten a bad report from your doctor. I declare to you right now that Jesus paid for our healing with the stripes on His back. The word of God declares that “By His stripes, you are healed!”

So, receive your healing right now! Declare it over your life! Then thank Him for the healing and believe that you are healed in Jesus’ name. Don’t allow doubt to sneak in and keep you from your healing. Thank God for your healing until you receive it. Speak the things that are not as if they were.

Peace. Love. Go Forth and Declare Your Thanksgiving.

Where’s Your Heart?

24 This is the day that the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. ~ Psalms 118:24

God has created a day which He has called today; He has blessed it, and He has given it to us. He expects us to receive it with glad hearts and thankful spirits. If we aren’t thankful, we are then spurning the things of God. And God considers that to be a grievous offense.

So, as you celebrate this Thanksgiving, remember that all good things come down from the Father of lights. Jesus has purchased everything you need for peace, for healing, and for salvation, and He is offering it all to you, freed of charge.

Thank God for what He has done and all that He’s given you.

Father, help us to have thankful hearts and grateful spirits. Help to never take any of your blessings and/or gifts for granted. Teach us to always have thanksgiving in our hearts. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Find the Good

18 give thanks in all circumstances, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. ~ 1 Thessalonians 5:18

Paul didn’t say to be thankful for all things but in all things. We might have been in a bad car accident, but praise the LORD, we are thankful that we are all fine and no causalities. We find the good in bad situations. Without thankfulness, bad situations will take hold of us, and grief, fear, depression, anger, and every other negative emotion will consume us until we are a slave to them.

That’s why God’s will for us is to be thankful and grateful. That’s why He has incorporated all of the benefits in that one little action or attitude. That of being Thankful/Grateful. So that we can never be lost to the darkness but instead grow in His precious and holy light.

Peace. Love. Go Forth and Find the Good.

Remember Your Thanksgiving Sacrifice

22 Mark this, then, you who forget God, lest I tear you apart, and there be none to deliver! 23 The one who offers thanksgiving as his sacrifice glorifies me; to one who orders his way rightly I will show the salvation of God! ~ Psalms 50:22–23

Did you get that? God said, “Mark this!” Meaning, listen up. Take note. This is serious. He says I want you to know that the one who offers a thanksgiving sacrifice glorifies me. Oh, but brother Kenny, we don’t sacrifice anymore, remember?

We might not offer animal sacrifice anymore, but we offer spiritual sacrifices still.

The word tô·ḏā(h)): means a confession of thankfulness, i.e., to speak works of personal praise. Or sing a song of thanksgiving. Or to give an expression of the character or acts of a person. To praise or to extol.

You don’t have to kill an animal and sprinkle its blood on an altar in order to offer the sacrifice of thanksgiving. Be thankful in your hearts, and it will be expressive in your words, and you will receive the benefits of being thankful.

Peace. Love. Go Forth and Remember Your Thanksgiving Sacrifice.

Offer Your Thanksgiving

14 Offer to God a sacrifice of thanksgiving, and perform your vows to the Most High, 15and call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me. ~ Psalms 50:14–15

God has called us to be thankful, and if He has called us to be thankful, He expects us to be thankful. Not when we feel like it. Not when we want to. Not even only when we receive something or when everything is going the way it should.

We are to be continually thankful all of the time and in all things. We don’t necessarily have to be thankful for the situation during the situation. But we have to be thankful in the situation regardless of how bad it is because when we offer this sacrifice of thanksgiving and then call upon His name, God will rescue us. He will deliver you.

Peace. Love. Go Forth and Offer Your Thanksgiving.

To Be Thankful

24 This is the day which the Lord hath made; We will rejoice and be glad in it. ~ Psalms 118:24KJV

The Scriptures tell us that this is the day that the LORD has made. Today. Right now. The present. It is called the present because it is a gift from our heavenly Father. Therefore, I will rejoice, and I will be glad in it.

Rejoicing then is a choice. Being glad is a choice. It is not something that just happens only when everything is going good. Or when all of our bills are paid, and everything is as it should be.

NO! Rejoicing is a choice. That’s why the Psalmist wrote, “I will rejoice and be glad in it.” You can choose to be glum or sulky. You can choose to be angry. Or you can choose to be thankful. Today, we choose to be thankful.

Peace. Love. Go Forth and Choose to Be Thankful.

Decide in the Valley of Decision

5 Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. ~ Psalms 30:5

There will be joy for the people of the LORD. Joy for those who are waiting for the return of Jesus. Peace, peace, peace I proclaim, may the shalom peace of God rest upon His people and strengthen them to endure the night, for joy cometh in the morning.

You are in the valley of decision. Have you decided? You are at the crossroads. Have you decided which way you will turn and to whom you will serve? Have you decided to choose life and refuse death?

Jesus is waiting. He offers hope. He offers life. He is waiting patiently, watching for the return of His prodigal son—the return of His prodigal daughter.

Have you had enough of riotous living? Have you had enough of playing Russian Roulette? Jesus’ arms are open wide, waiting for His sons and His daughters to come home. Will you come home? All you have to do is ask, and He will give you life. Life everlasting with Him.

Peace. Love. Go Forth and Decide in the Valley of Decision.
