The Power of The Holy Spirit

We often hear many things about the Father and the Son, and we often embrace these two members of the God-Head with ease and without reservations. But when it comes to the Holy Spirit we tend to be a bit more hesitant to embrace Him. Why? Could it be that we don’t quite understand who He is and what He is trying to offer us? We don’t understand the power that comes from the Holy Spirit. We tend to run from anything that seems to no longer fit our world, such as prophecy, spiritual tongues, or any other gifts of the Spirit.

The disciples were filled with the power of the Holy Spirit on Pentecost 2000 years ago. When that happened they began speaking in tongues, Peter then proceeded to preach a fiery message and 3000 were saved. But what exactly was that power that they were filled with? The Power of The Holy Spirit

The Father and the Son bring forth the will and the salvation of God, but only through the Spirit is do we have power.

³And I was with you in weakness and in fear and much trembling, ⁴and my speech and my message were not in plausible words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, ⁵so that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.
1 Corinthians 2:3–5

^¹⁹ But I will come to you soon, if the Lord wills, and I will find out not the talk of these arrogant people but their power. ^²⁰For the kingdom of God does not consist in talk but in power.

The Gifts of the Spirit

Two of the greatest gifts are prophecy and speaking in tongues. Prophecy is the greatest because it builds up the Church while speaking in tongues builds up the person speaking in tongues. These gifts are distributed through the power of the Holy Spirit, not through the Father or the Son.

⁴Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; ⁵and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord; ⁶and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone. ⁷To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. ⁸For to one is given through the Spirit the utterance of wisdom, and to another the utterance of knowledge according to the same Spirit, ⁹to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit, ¹⁰to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another the ability to distinguish between spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. ¹¹All these are empowered by one and the same Spirit, who apportions to each one individually as He wills.

The Man of Lawlessness

The Beast of Revelation

The False Prophet

Is Abortion a Sin?

On January 22, 1973, America legalized abortion. From that day to now, we have taken the stance that a woman has the right to choose to keep her baby or to have an abortion. The world made up its mind on January 22, 1973, that it was alright to have an abortion, but in the last ten years, the Church has begun to change its stance in favor of abortion as well. Which leads us to this video, Is Abortion a Sin?

We have celebrities, political leaders, and influential people who claim to be Christians. Yet, they not only support a woman’s right to choose, some even go as far as to spend their Birthday at Planned Parenthood, but they also try to justify their beliefs that God or Jesus would support a woman’s reproductive rights with Scripture.

If it is not really a baby, but just an embryo or a fetus, then that can’t actually be murder, can it? Does the Bible even make a stance on abortion, since it is a relatively new procedure? Are Satan and Beelzebul The Same Being?

As a Church, we often take Church Tradition as absolute fact instead of looking at Scripture and analyzing it for ourselves. We’ve been taught that Satan and Lucifer are the same being, as well as Satan and Beelzebul. Now, if the Bible didn’t validate Church Tradition when it came to Satan and Lucifer, could it be then that the Bible doesn’t validate the Church Tradition that Satan and Beelzebul either? To me, it sounds like Beelzebul is a demon.

²⁴But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, “It is only by Beelzebul, the prince of demons, that this man casts out demons.”

To be the prince of something, you have to be a part of it. Therefore, Satan cannot be the same as Beelzebul if Beelzebul is a demon. Why can’t Satan be a demon? As we discussed in previous videos, Satan is a Beast of the Field, not a demon. He was the Serpent in the Garden of Eden who tempted Eve. According to Deuteronomy, demons weren’t known by the people of Israel until they left Egypt and entered the land of Canaan. The land of Canaan was filled with demonic worship.

¹⁵But Jeshurun grew fat, and kicked; you grew fat, stout, and sleek; then he forsook God who made him and scoffed at the Rock of his salvation. ¹⁶They stirred him to jealousy with strange gods; with abominations they provoked him to anger. ¹⁷They sacrificed to demons that were no gods, to gods they had never known, to new gods that had come recently, whom your fathers had never dreaded. ¹⁸You were unmindful of the Rock that bore you, and you forgot the God who gave you birth.

If Beelzebul is, in fact, a demon, then he has to be a completely separate being from Satan. As we just read, demons had only recently come on the earth when Israel left Egypt and entered Canaan. Therefore, they have to be two separate beings since Satan was in the Garden of Eden and was on the earth from his creation.

The Little Dogs and The Syrophoenician Woman

Throughout the Gospels, Jesus heals anyone who comes to Him in faith. He healed Jew and non-Jew until He came across a certain gentile woman. When the Syrophoenician woman came before Jesus on behalf of her demon-possessed daughter, Jesus said these famous words, ‘It is not right to take the children’s bread and throw it to the dogs.’ Why did Jesus call this woman and her daughter dogs? The Definition of Dogs in the Bible

What does ‘dogs’ mean in the Bible? Peter tells us that the term ‘dogs’ is used to define anyone who knows the ways of righteousness (are saved), yet returns to their old ways in the Bible.

²⁰For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the world through the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the last state has become worse for them than the first. ²¹For it would have been better for them never to have known the way of righteousness than after knowing it to turn back from the holy commandment delivered to them. ²²What the true proverb says has happened to them: “The dog returns to its own vomit, and the sow, after washing herself, returns to wallow in the mire.”

The Antichrist

The Antichrist is a key player in the End Times. According to Church Tradition, the Antichrist is the prophesied man who will rule the entire earth in a one-world government. The Antichrist

Contrary to popular belief, the word antichrist can’t be found anywhere in the book of Revelation. So where is antichrist found in the bible? It’s found five times in four verses in 1 and 2 John. John actually says that the coming of antichrist is a sign of the end.

¹⁸Children, it is the last hour, and as you have heard that antichrist is coming, so now many antichrists have come. Therefore we know that it is the last hour. ¹⁹They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us. But they went out, that it might become plain that they all are not of us. ²⁰But you have been anointed by the Holy One, and you all have knowledge.
²¹I write to you, not because you do not know the truth, but because you know it, and because no lie is of the truth. ²²Who is the liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, he who denies the Father and the Son. ²³No one who denies the Son has the Father. Can You Lose Your Salvation?

Jesus told us to abide in Him, and He would abide in us. So, therefore, if we believe and repent, then we are now abiding in Him. But what happens if we turn away from Jesus? Revelation 12 War: Why Did Satan Attack?

Revelation 12 is the solo account of Satan’s fall. It specifically records Satan and Michael’s war, as well as Satan being thrown from Heaven to earth by Michael.

⁷Now war arose in heaven, Michael and his angels fighting against the dragon. And the dragon and his angels fought back, ⁸but he was defeated, and there was no longer any place for them in heaven. ⁹And the great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world—he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.

Does God Love Everyone?

¹⁶For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. ¹⁷For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through Him. ¹⁸Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.

Communion: Why The Bread Before The Wine?

Jesus was very specific in leading the first communion during the Last Supper. He gave the bread before He gave the wine. Paul brings to remembrance this exact event, explaining that we are now declaring the LROD’s death until He returns.

²⁶Now as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and after blessing it broke it and gave it to the disciples, and said, “Take, eat; this is my body.” ²⁷And he took a cup, and when he had given thanks he gave it to them, saying, “Drink of it, all of you, ²⁸for this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. ²⁹I tell you I will not drink again of this fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father’s kingdom.”
