“3 For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds.” ~ 2 Corinthians 10:3-4
Pride. Compulsive Lies. Addictions. Greed. Gluttony. Religiosity. Sexual Fetishes. Homosexuality. Trans-Gender/Species. Everything that stops you from fulfilling your calling and living your life one hundred percent to the fullest is a stronghold. You can’t enjoy the blessing of God when you are chained down by strongholds. We often make the excuse that we can’t change. That we were born this way. Or that it’s too hard. But if we look to scripture, God has given us everything we need to successfully break down and destroy strongholds.
God didn’t leave us defenseless. He didn’t leave us weak and unprotected. God gave us His scripture, His Spirit, His Peace, and so much more. We don’t have to live hurt, confused, discouraged. That was never His plan. That was never His desire. God created each and every one of us in His image. Sometimes it takes the miraculous to see that. Do you believe in the miraculous? The miracle you need may not have been recorded in the Scriptures, but I guarantee it is possible. Jesus said that we would do greater things than even He did, “Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do because I am going to the Father,” John 14:12.
So if Jesus could raise the dead, walk on water, rescue captives out of the center of the Earth, heal the sick, cast out demons, make the blind see, and the deaf hear; what could you do? Don’t allow culture or religious traditions hold you back. God Himself promised you these things; don’t take the word of man over the Word of God. Believe. Have faith, and you will see the miraculous happen.
