“Then Paul and Barnabas answered them boldly: ‘We had to speak the word of God to you first. Since you reject it and do not consider yourselves worthy of eternal life, we now turn to the Gentiles.’” ~ Acts 13:46
Let us not be numbered among those who consider themselves unworthy of eternal life. Let no one speak such things into your life. Parents encourage your children and teach them about eternal life. Sunday School and Church are great, but when our children see that we count ourselves worthy, they will feel worthy as well.
Because you are worthy, live your life as an example for your children. Fathers set the standard for your sons. Mothers set the standard for your daughters. Raise up men and women who fear the LORD and count themselves worthy of eternal life.
Heavenly Father, I pray for everyone right now who is struggling between the pleasures of life that last only but a little while and the joy of eternal life that lasts forever. Please open our eyes that we might see the tricks of the enemy and that we will not lose heart but rather fight the good fight of faith.
I pray also for those who are weighed down by the troubles and concerns of this life and have no one to confide in or nowhere to turn to. Please be there for them like a good friend who sticks closer than a brother. In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen.
